{Violet’s POV}
I felt like my ears were playing pranks on me so I laughed loudly. Some of the visitors standing around looked at me like I was going crazy, knowing well that they hadn’t heard a joke from the Lodge Assistant or anybody else.
I faced the lady again. “Ma’am. I asked you what the guy’s name was.” I said very audibly so she would also be audible with her response and not give my ears the chance to play tricks on me again.
“I just told you his name. Liam Cornaro!” She said with an emphasis on the Liam part and was already growing glare.
She stared at me for some seconds and then her glare melted. “You don’t need to be so worried that your roommate is a male. He informed me earlier that he wouldn’t be staying in the lodge often as he has an assignment here. So you’re good.”
