{Violet’s POV}
I tried to get some homework done at work. It seemed extra boring today and I only ended up playing Candy Crush. I’ll say the level soon.
I watched the time slide from 6 pm to 7, 7:30, and then to 8 pm. I closed the store with nervousness rising in my veins. A part of me felt like staying in the store and hiding but a huge part of me felt like Aiden wouldn’t come.
I strolled into the parking lot and drove my gaze around.
Maybe the huge part of me was right— I hoped the huge part of me was right. Maybe Aiden had finally come to his senses. He had all afternoon to do so and realize that I was just a plain nerd and nobody special.
I rested my gaze on my car and just as I was about making my way to it, I heard my name.
