The young man walked and knocked on the cave walls, wanting to feel whether there was something behind the wall or some kind of illusion barrier so that the secret door mentioned by Hong Gui would not be seen—that inside here was the treasure. Almost every corner had been knocked, and only one corner remained untouched. Immediately he went to the last corner.
Everyone also helped to find another door from that Cave.
"Young Master! It seems there is wind blowing here!" A junior called out. He could feel it when the wind touched his palm. Hong Lao immediately approached. Not only him, but everyone was curious and crowded around. Hong Lao, who arrived first, immediately extended his hand, trying to feel whether there really was wind blowing, but unfortunately, he did not feel it.
"Are you lying to me? I don’t feel it at all!"
"Young Master, let me try it too!" Hong Jandi approached and extended his hand. He also did not feel it. His face looked a little gloomy as he stared at the junior. However, when his hand was pulled back, a small wind felt blowing. Immediately he changed his facial expression again.
"It seems there will be a pause for this wind to blow. Let’s check. Is this the entrance to the treasure said in the map!" Everyone exerted their strength. Their punches became one, striking the gap that was there.
Baam! The cave’s tremor was felt strongly. A crack was visible.
"Once more!" Hong Jandi ordered.
Everyone again exerted their strength and sent a punch. Only Han Nian did not contribute his energy. He sat relaxed. He was thinking about something. 'If that is a treasure room! How could there be wind? Most likely that is an exit from this cave besides that tunnel!' And when the wall collapsed, there was no treasure room there. What was there was only an extraordinary view, where the open sea looked so beautiful. That view was like the Maldives if described.
"There’s nothing here. This is another way out," said Jandi while turning his gaze to the side. "Gui, what do you think about this? Is the map and the information wrong?"
"It seems we have been deceived," Hong Gui shook his head. There was a sense of disbelief, because this was the first time.
Baam! An explosion was heard behind them. Dust billowed. There was someone behind that dust. Han Nian waved his hand, a wisp of small wind appeared there. The young man could see a mound of gold there, even various forms of weapons.
Han Nian stepped forward. He ignored the pile of treasure. He only stared at a weapon that attracted his interest. That weapon was embedded on top of a stone and emitted a terrifying aura. But it did not make the young man afraid.
All the Hong Clan members there immediately moved to follow the young man. They could also see various forms of weapons and scattered gold coins. There were several antique items like jade porcelain and many other things.
"So the treasure is here!" Jandi muttered. He turned to the right and said, "That young man has a lot of luck, Young Master. We must make him a special guest," Hong Jandi whispered.
"I was indeed not wrong in judging him. Even though now he looks quite messy in his appearance, but if taken to the city and given good clothes, I’m sure he will become a handsome young man and girls in the city will fight over him."
"I also think so, Young Master!"
"Store some of the treasure, and leave some for my brother over there!" Hong Lao pointed. Everyone heard his order and carried it out and arranged the distribution. They were not a greedy Clan. So they just accepted it. If not for that young man as well, they certainly would not have gotten anything. They might even have lost their lives earlier. So they considered that treasure as payment for all the lives of the members present.
Meanwhile, Han Nian began to hold the sword embedded in the stone mound. Everyone stepped back a little after storing all the treasure and separating Han Nian’s share into another ring. They also stared at the dark-colored sword with that terrifying aura.
With all his strength, Han Nian pulled the weapon. However, it did not move an inch. His body bent as he planted his feet on the stone and made another pull followed by all his physical strength.
Hiyaaat! The result was still the same.
Hah! Hah! His breath was irregular. Quite a lot of energy had been released by him. Even the cave ceiling began to crack when he released his full physical strength and his middle-stage Earth Realm power.
"What’s wrong? Why can’t I pull it!" Han Nian pondered. He sat taking a breath in front of the sword.
"Don’t you want to come with me? What are you doing here forever? You’d better cooperate and come adventure with me!"
After gathering enough energy, Han Nian repeated the initial steps as before. And the result obtained remained the same.
"My brother, if that sword is not fated for you, then just leave it. This cave seems like it will collapse soon!" Han Nian smiled, then he said, "You take the others first. I will find a way. This is a matter I must face!"
"We will wait for you outside. You must be safe! And don’t push yourself too much. If it’s no longer possible, just come out!" said Hong Lao.
Han Nian waved his hand, then he sat closing his eyes and searched his memory about the sword. Immediately the memory from the soul fire appeared in his head. All those memories gathered quickly. A familiar smile appeared on his face.
"If you truly have a Sword Spirit, it means I must contract you. If so, get ready to come with me!" Han Nian used the blood on his fingertip and dripped it onto the bird-headed sword hilt. He considered that bird to be a vermilion bird. When that drop of blood entered and was absorbed by the head of the sword hilt, there was an eye that seemed to open.
Han Nian’s body was sucked in and disappeared from that place.
"Where am I?" he muttered. Directing his gaze in all directions, but nothing was visible except fire that surrounded him. But strangely, he did not feel heat at all.
Suddenly a beautiful figure spread its wide wings. It was a Vermilion Bird, the controller of fire. The bird whistled, and its whistle was deafening.
"Young man, why are you lost here?" the bird asked.
"I don’t know why I could be here?"
"Hem. It seems you are the one who has awakened me from my long sleep. But I cannot follow a weak human like you!"
"I also don’t want to be followed by an arrogant one like you!" Han Nian replied.
"Hahaha, you’re quite arrogant too, it turns out, but that qualification is not enough. If you can defeat me, then I will obey your wish."
"Are you sure?"
"I promise!"
"But I have a condition. If you lower your level to be equal to mine, then I will accept this challenge! If not, what’s the point of just wasting energy!"
"If you cannot defeat me, you also cannot leave this place, because this is my territory!"
Hearing that, Han Nian immediately realized a sign of danger. He no longer relaxed and stared at the fire-controlling bird…
