Gaus went speechless.
‘Just what in the world did she do to make her think that I will go berserk?’ Gaus thought.
He’s totally puzzled. A lot of things are going through his mind. And yet, he doesn’t want to think ill of Athena. She’s the only one right now who believes that he is innocent even though the evidence is overwhelming.
“When you said that, it actually got me thinking. Why would you say that? It seems like you did something awful,” Gaus stated. He leaned towards the desk. He is eager to know what Athena did to comment like that.
Athena cleared her throat and scratched her nape. She looked down and took a big deep breath before meeting Gaus’ eyes.
“I’m the reason why Astilbe knows about Cytherea. I was the one who provided him the information about her,” she started.
