Right there at the door stood the Lycan Alpha, and for some reason he looked pissed.
My body soon rebelled against the way I got up so I had to sit down and try to hold the angry gaze of Lycan Alpha. It was a difficult feat so I lowered my eyes.
“Oh, you're back! That's new. Welcome," I heard Veylana say and turned to see her walking out of the bathroom with her sleeves rolled up and her mate not with her.
“Where were you?” Lycan Alpha hissed at Veylana. I was genuinely scared for her, but she rolled her eyes in response.
"In the bathroom with my mate. Why? Did you want me to take your mate along as well? I don't share like that, do you?” Veylana sassed back and I wanted to wave at her to stop, but I feared getting in-between them could make matters worse.
