Chapter 11: Falling

1636 Words
-Eliana's P.O.V.- A pretty lady entered my hospital room and introduced herself to me as Alexis. "Mistress," she said, "I am here to escort you to your room and to ensure everything is to your liking during your stay," she said. "My name is Eliana," I told her, “Please call me Eliana, not mistress," I begged. She looked at me stunned but smiled and said, "if it pleases the mistress, I will call her Eliana, but only in private, as I could get in trouble for disrespecting you in public." Although I found her revelation odd, I agreed as she seemed genuinely pleased with her compromise to my request. I stood up, ensuring my gown was tight, and told her I was ready to go. She led me through the gigantic building to the fourth floor. "We have reached the Alpha's floor mistress she stated, not much further. She showed me down the hall to a large door on the right. She opened the door and motioned for me to enter. My mouth dropped, and my eyes widened; this room was huge, the size of a small house. In the center, a four-post king-size bed was dawned with the most Lavish purple and baby blue comforter set and bed curtains; the room was elegant and comforting. Besides the bed, there was an entertainment area, a study nook, and two other doors that I still needed to learn where they led to. Alexis nudged me toward the first door when I opened it; an indulgently large bathroom with a waterfall shower and jacuzzi tub took my breath away. I stroked there for a moment until Alexis said, "Eliana, ready for door number two?" I nodded in agreement, still unable to speak. As we reached the second door, I couldn't imagine there could be more. I opened the door and found a closet almost as big as the bedroom. It was stocked with designer clothes and shoes. It looked like something out of a fairytale. "Alexis, is all this for me?" I asked. "Yes, Eliana," she responded, "The Alpha wanted to ensure you had plenty to wear; there are even pajamas and undergarments in the dresser." I looked through the clothes, whoever did the shopping had excellent taste and everything was the correct size. "Eliana, maybe you should get cleaned up and change out of the hospital clothes," Alexis suggested. "That sounds amazing," I chirped. So, I picked out some designer jeans and a cute shirt with a dream catcher in purple, grabbed a bra and some underwear from the drawer, and headed to the bathroom. There was new makeup and toiletries in the bathroom as if someone had thought of everything. I turned the shower on, removed my hospital gown, and stepped in. The warm water rushed over my body, the dried blood turning the reddish water pink. I washed my hair three times; it felt so good it had been days. I shaved and washed my body, then relaxed under the water. I thought this was much better than bathing in a river, and my wolf purred excitedly at the mention of a river. Easy girl, I reminded her, and she huffed and later down in my mind. I began to think about where I was and not where I came from. Was I the true mate of that beautiful Alpha? The thought of him made a heat pool between my legs. Even though the idea of s*x brought back flashes of Roman which made me shudder. How could I ever be a good mate for an Alpha, I thought. I had been used and abused; I was tainted. Tears began streaming down my face mixing with the shower droplets as my mind took me back to the night in the woods. I cried for quite some time before I heard a knock on the door. "Everything ok on there?" I attended Christian's ask. I shut the shower off and yelled, "I'm fine, be right out." I dried off quickly and threw on the clothes I had picked, leaving my feet bare. I brushed my teeth and threw my towel-dried hair into a braid. "Hey there," Christian said as I exited the bathroom. "Hello," I choked out in response. How come every time I saw him, he took my breath away? "I came to see if you would like a tour of the house and the village," he asked. "Oh, of course, that would be lovely," was my idiotic response. Lovely, I thought, who says lovely? My wolf chuckled at my query in our head. "Well, he held out his hand, shall we?" I reached out and took his hand, and electricity shot through my entire body the instant we touched. I wanted him, and I had never wanted anyone before. We left the luxurious bedroom and headed down the hall. As we walked, he told me the stories and origins of every piece of art throughout the large castle-like mansion. Then, he introduced me to the library, kitchen, dining hall, exercise room, billiard room, theater, each ranked pack members' floors, and finally, the ballroom. "This place is magnificent," I stated out loud. "Ehm, it's ok," he replied. I stood there looking at Christian, shocked as if a house this large didn't impress him, then what could? So, we exited the pack house's grand entry and roamed the grounds. The area was beautiful, nestled in the mountains with a large lake on the property and a forest for running as far as the eye could see. We walked and made small talk for hours. As we talked, I realized Christian had kindness within him and a soothing sense of humor. He was magnificent not just in looks but on the inside as well. I hope he will not see me as damaged for a while and that he can even love me someday. Nonsense, I thought, he is way more than you could deserve. My wolf growled at my thoughts. "Mate she said firmly." I know. -Christian's P.O.V.- I watched Eliana in wonder and amazement as I showed her the entire territory. She was in awe of the pack house and the land, and in some moments, I almost thought of me as well. Yet, she has made no motion to claim you or even acted as if she is interested. "Mate," chaos growled. I know, buddy, I soothed him, but how could she fully recover from what was done to her? "Give her time," was all he said before he disappeared into the depths of our minds. Looking at her standing by the lake, the amazement in her features, as if she had never seen open land before, made me want to grab her, hold her, and protect her. I felt my body reacting as I thought of holding her close. She smelled terrific from here. Although I wanted her badly, I knew I would have to tread lightly as she had been hurt. -Eliana's P.O.V.- I wandered through the lands with Christians, taking in the beauty and the extensive amount of it. He was walking beside me, and I could feel him watching me. Somehow that didn't bother me at all, just made my body alive with a tingly feeling. "Mate," my wolf growled at me. I know I soothed her, but what if he rejects us? "No way, Christian wants us; just look at him" I turned from watching the ripples on the lake to see him looking at me in amazement. What did he see? I couldn't, I thought. I strolled toward him and noticed his arousal beneath his pants. I tried to look away quickly as the blush filled my cheeks. He laughed softly as my eyes met his. "I am sorry little wolf, I can't help it he said," shame filled his state as he spoke, "I know you are not even close to ready for anything, and I am willing to wait as long as you need." I looked at him in shock, and my wolf pranced happily in my mind at this omission. "He does want us," she exclaimed. She was correct; not only did it show physically, but his words of wanting and waiting were as sincere as any words I had ever heard. I walked closer to him, not taking my eyes off his. I was looking up as he was a large man, and I was not a tall woman. When I was about a foot in front of him, I touched his hand, and electricity shot up my arm. I had never felt anything like that. I moved closer, holding his hand; I leaned against his chest, breathing in his scent. He wrapped his free arm around my waist and held me close. After a few moments, I looked up, submitting my lips to him. I wanted to kiss him and was shocked at that revelation after all I had been through. He obliged and leaned down softly, brushing his lips against mine. The touch of his lips caused my body to instantly hear him, and a low needy growl escaped his lips. I slowly pulled away, looking up at him. I could tell he knew the effect he had on me. He stepped back, wanting to give me some space but keeping ahold of my hand. "We should probably get back for dinner," he said when he finally spoke. I let him hold my hand as we walked back to the main house. Occasionally, I glanced over at him as we walked in silence. At that moment, I saw a future not just here but with Christian. I was falling for him quicker than I ever thought possible, and by how he looked at me, I was sure he felt the same.
