-Eliana's P.O.V.-
I had done it. I had told Christian everything, and I sat there waiting for him to tell me I was disgusting and tainted. I waited for him to reject me, and I braced myself for the pain.
Before I could react, I was in his arms, and he was kissing me profoundly but softly. At first, my body went rigid, and I wanted to pull away. Affection has not been a feeling I have enjoyed in a long time. I relaxed a little, unsure how but once again, my mind and body were at odds. I opened my mouth, deepening his kiss.
My hands wrapped around his neck as he lifted me off the bed, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist as he kissed me more deeply and passionately than I thought possible. Then, his tongue penetrating my mouth slowly and lovingly, he sat down at me, startling my lap. I felt his hardness between my legs, and my core instantly moistened for him.
I was shocked at how I relaxed into him so quickly. He moaned against my mouth, then sat back, staring into my eyes. I was frozen like a deer in headlights.

I wanted her to feel what I was feeling. I knew I could never reject her and would never hurt her. So, I kissed her hard and profoundly and only stopped to look at her. She sat on my lap, looking shocked at her reaction to me, or maybe it was my physical reaction to her arousal.
"You are safe, Eliana, and I will keep reminding you of that until you believe me," I said. She simply nodded her head. "I feel how your body reacts to me, and I know you feel mine." I continued. "I will not ask you or demand you to do anything you are not ready for," I added. "You are my destined mate lil wolf intend to love, protect, and heal you for the rest of my life," I finished.
I looked at her and brought my hand to her cheek, slowly wiping away her silent tears. She was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen, and every part of me always wanted to protect and love her.
-Eliana's P.O.V.-
When Christian pulled away, my wolf whimpered. I scolded her in my head for being so eager for him. Then he began to speak, and his words were soft, kind, and loving. I could feel the honesty and sincerity in his words. He wanted to be mine, but he did not want to force or rush me either. I didn't know what to say. Tears of relief and sadness washed down my cheeks.
I could not believe this man wanted me. The battered and used weak wolf. My wolf growled inside my head at my thoughts. We are so much more than that, Eliana. She scolded me for thinking of us in such a low manner. Then she blocked me, something she had never done. The silence in my mind was stifling, but I knew she was right. I could not let those people who hurt us control the rest of my life.
I felt his hand on my cheek, and at that moment, my heart and body wanted the same thing we wanted, Christian. I leaned forward and kissed him softly. I pulled back and whispered in his ear, "Thank you for seeing me the real me through all of this; I promise I will try my best to make you as happy as you have just made me." I said, then kissed his cheek softly.
He pulled me closer, cuddling me, and nothing more, he didn't try to force me to go further; he simply held me. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he spoke. "Little wolf, I think it's time we got you a room on my floor. I do not want you in my room immediately; I want you to come to me when you are ready. I will get one of the female betas to come to get you and take you to your room. I must go talk to my mother about what we have discussed today and do not worry, I just want to talk to her about your pack, not the other things." He spoke.
I looked at him and responded, "ok, but Christian, I have no clothes other than this hospital gown" he smiled down at me and said," Don't worry, my little wolf. I already have your closet stocked, and if there is anything more you need, just let me know, and we will have it delivered." With that, he kissed my forehead and left the room.

As I left the hospital room for the first time in days, my heart was whole and light. Eliana may be scared due to her trauma, but she had feelings for me too. I had finally found my mate. Now to talk to my mother and figure out who she was.
I mind-linked one of the female betas and asked her to see Eliana while I was away. Then I mind-linked my mother asking her to meet me in my office immediately. I turned the corner to my office, more determined than ever to convince my mother my mate was never going anywhere without me again.
-Alice's P.O.V.-
I finished my tea and headed to Christian's office. On my way there, I thought it odd that he hadn't spoken to me in days, and now he demanded that I get to his office. His behavior as of late had been abnormal, though, and I blamed that rogue he had a mate bond with. I silently prayed to the goddess for strength in what was to come.
I entered his office, and shockingly he sat behind his desk, almost looking jovial. "Come in, mother." He chirped happily. I smiled at him and walked in, sitting in one of the chairs in front of his desk. "You requested me, my child. Is everything OK?" I asked.
He looked up from his desk and said, "Mother, I have information on the girl, but I need you to listen to the entirety of the story before you say anything, OK?"
I looked at my son, shocked at his demanding tone; this was so unlike him, but I nodded in agreement. He began talking about her upbringing, describing the village she came from and how it was destroyed. The details he gave brought tears to my eyes as I began to realize how I knew the child. He went on to describe her life after the kidnapping. The awful things that she had lived through. Tears were seeping from both our eyes at that time. When he finished, he looked at me, pleading for sympathy. I took a few deep breaths before I spoke to him.
"Son, I know who she is now." He looked at me, shocked. I began telling him I thought I had recognized her the night in the hospital but could not place her. Finally, I told him about the pack with the villagers he described was called the crescent pack.
I explained that her mother and I had been friends since childhood. I said that Casey was my best friend and a member of my pack before your father and me. She was the daughter of our pack's beta. Eventually, she found her mate in the Alpha of the Crescent Pack at the annual treaty signing.
When she found him, he had a chosen mate, whom he had never completed the mating ritual, and as soon as the Alpha met Casey, he broke things off with her. His chosen mate swore she would seek vengeance and threatened Casey's life. So, the Alpha banished her for crimes against the Luna.
A few months later, they brought a little girl into the world. She had dark brown hair and beautiful green eyes. By this time, I had met your father, and I believe the baby girl was about one when we visited. She was beautiful with her pretty green eyes and brown hair, just like her mother's.
He looked at me as if he had seen a ghost, but I continued my story. The Alpha of the Crescent Wolves believed all his pack members should live with the same means. So, there was no castle like here, but everyone had tiny individual homes that lined the territory resembling a small village.
Even though he ran his pack there, his traditions differed significantly. They welcomed us with open arms when we visited, and that visit was the last time I ever saw my dear friend alive. Years passed and both of us were too busy to get out and see each other. Then one day, we got the news that the Crestwood pack had been destroyed by a rogue pack, and there were no survivors.
Christian stared at me in disbelief. Could his mate be the daughter of the Eastwood pack Alpha? "Mom," he finally spoke, "weren't the Eastwood wolves powerful in odd ways?" He asked. "Yes, son," I responded, "some of the crescent wolves were known to have unbelievable powers, but the story says that they only come into their powers once they are mated. I understand that Alpha David received his ability only after completing Casey's mating ritual.
"Mother, how can we be sure Eliana and the Alpha’s daughter are the same girls or that she is even from the Crestwood pack?"
"Well, my son, her mother is buried on our grounds; we could have the doctor do a D.N.A. test; after all this time, there is enough left." She spoke.
-Christian's P.O.V.-
I sat wide-eyed, staring at my mother. Could this be true? Could my mate indeed be the last remaining member of the Eastwood pack and an Alphas daughter? I would only mention something to Eliana once I knew for sure.
"Mother," I said softly, "please say nothing of this to her until we know. She has been through so much, and I do not want to give her false hope of knowing who her family is." But, of course, my son," she responded, "I will get with the pack doctor and ensure the test is done quickly and quietly." I thanked her and let her leave to get what needed to be done.
