Trapped Butterfly

Chapter 3

Alexa boards the plane at 11:00 that night and arrives at Palawan at 5:00 in the morning. She feels so tired and immediately books a cab to bring her to the company hotel which is adjacent to the company itself. 

 When the cab driver arrives, she says "Bango Co. hotel". The driver nods, immediately turns on the engine and the meter also starts running. In just twenty minutes, they reach the hotel. The driver says, "120 pesos, ma'am." Alexa gets a wad of bills from her wallet and hands it to the driver, not bothering to count it. It's almost 500 pesos. The driver cannot believe it and tries to return some of the money but Alexa says, "Keep the change." so he stops insisting. 

 Alexa immediately steps off the cab and goes straight to the receptionist's desk to ask where her room is. "Alexa Salvatorre" "Room 519, ma'am." "Okay. Thank you." Exhausted and eager to have rest, Alexa immediately starts to walk towards the elevator, forgetting to get the room key. The receptionist is also not quick to realize that she was not able to give the room key to the lady and when she does, Alexa is already in the elevator. 

When the elevator stops at fifth floor, Alexa steps off and fortunately, she sees an attendant who helps her carry her bags to her room. She accidentally gets confused and goes to room 516. However, she realizes that she forgot to get the room key. Luckily, the attendant has keys since he is assigned to tidy that room. He opens it for her and she enters. Tired as she is, she eagerly lies on the bed and falls asleep. 

Then, a young handsome man comes in. He notices Alexa on his bed. He gets confused and checks the room number. He confirms that he is in the right room and has been staying in that room for two weeks now. He wants to awaken the lady, but upon seeing how tired she looks, he decides to let her sleep. He gets a pillow, puts it as a barrier between the two of them, and goes to sleep on the other side.

 This young man, Andrei, is a businessman also and is practical so he won't be sleeping on the couch. How will Alexa react when she sees Andrei beside her when she wakes up?
