Whatever negative emotion has been bothering Alexa, she keeps it to herself. She always maintains her polished look and work efficiency. She is very aristocratic in nature and has lots of admirers but very few friends.
When she arrives at work and goes to her table, she is always greeted by tons of papers that need her signature. While working on these papers, her father calls her. "Alexa, come to my office for a while. There is an urgent business matter that I need to discuss with you." "Okay, sir. Just a moment," Alexa obediently replied. She always call her father sir whenever they are at the office. She has always separated her personal and professional life.
At her father's office, Alexa sits across her father and listens patiently. "Alexa, you've been in this company for quite some time and I know that you are such a capable manager. One of our companies in Palawan is on the verge of bankruptcy. I'd like you to attend to it."
Alexa becomes excited at the prospect of something new in her life, but still she asks a very important question, "How about my work here, sir?"
Alexander replies, "I noticed that your staff is very efficient and effective, they can work without much supervision. Besides, I'll try to go here from time to time. I believe you'll find Palawan to be quite lovely and you might need a break from your routines here." "Okay, sir. Which company? When do I have to go there." "Oh, the Bango Co. Your expertise on scents would be very helpful. You'll be leaving tonight. Go and pack your things. I've already bought the tickets." "But..." Alexa started protesting. "No buts. You'll go. Boss' order." "Okay, sir."
Alexa goes home to pack her bags. She knows she'll have to work, but it is in Palawan. She gets a bit excited, then realizes that it's her father who ordered that she go there and she has no choice but to obey. Again, she felt a surge of rebellion at the pit of her stomach. Yet, Alexa knows that she will do what she has been told to do... or will she?
