That meeting with Alpha Gretta and Alpha Hailey, about her mating alliance, didn’t go too badly. That clause did clearly define born into a mate bond, not conceived into one. So that would go in her favour.
Gretta read through the whole thing and shook her head more than once. Then looked at her and stated, “You were chosen, just to be rejected?”

“This clause; about you getting to keep anything given to you, after a rejection has been issued and accepted.” Gretta stated, “On a technicality, that could be seen by you, by us here at the Alpha Council, as that pup is a gift of life. So, it is yours to keep, seeing as you were rejected and had also left that pack before you knew you were pregnant.”
