Chapter 9: Alexis

We pulled into the driveway behind my jeep. I got out of the car and got to the front door with Jayden walking beside me. I opened the door and headed inside. As we entered, I could hear the boys' laughter coming from the lounge room. We walked into the room, and I saw Aaron down on the floor wrestling with the boys.

“Kai, Killian, what are you doing to your Uncle?” I asked the boys.

The boys stopped and turned to face me. When they saw me there, they ran towards me, hugging me.

“Boys, I have someone else I would like you to meet. Remember how you met your Uncle Micah the other day?” I asked the boys.

They nod yes, confirming that they remember him. I turned to the boys to face Jayden and pointed at him.

“Kai and Killian, this is Jayden. He is Uncle Micah’s brother, and he is your father,” I explained.

The boys snap their heads at me with hope in their eyes. They have been asking about their dad since they met Micah the other day and I didn’t know what to say to them.

“He’s our daddy? He looks just like us,” Kai says.

Killian is looking at Jayden and then suddenly he runs to Jayden, hugs him, and starts to snuggle his face into his daddy’s neck. Watching that makes my heart swell.

“Daddy, you’re here! Mama said she would find you for us one day.” Killian says excitedly.

Suddenly, Kai runs to Jayden and hugs him as well and starts telling his father everything that they have been doing and his favorite toys. He just keeps talking and talking. Killian ends up joining in as well and telling Jayden everything he can. After an hour of leaving the boys to be with Jay, I went over and let them know that it was time for bed.

“Daddy, are you staying tonight? Now that we have found you, does that mean you won’t leave us?” Killian asks.

“Does that mean you are going to live with us daddy?” Kai says.

My heart breaks as the boys never understood why their father was never there when they were growing up. We took the boys to their room. Jayden is carrying Killian and I have Kai. I headed into the room and started getting Kai ready for bed.

“How about this Killian and Kai? Daddy can stay tonight if he would like to. As for him leaving you , he won’t leave now that he has you both. As for him living with us straightaway, Daddy and I have things to work out before that happens. But I promise you now that he will be in your lives from now on.” I told both of them.

This satisfies both boys, especially after Jayden said he would stay the night. Once they fall asleep, after they convince Jayden to read them five bedtime stories, we leave Jessa’s old room and shut the door behind us. As I am about to walk back downstairs, I’m surprised when two strong hands grab me by the waist and spins me towards them. I crashed into the rock-hard chest of Jayden. I put both hands out to stop some of the impact and my mind went blank. Heat surges through my body and feelings that have been dead since I left Jayden come back with a vengeance. My stomach has butterflies, and my panties are getting wet from all the dirty thoughts I am having about him. I feel a finger slowly tilt my chin up, till I lock eyes with him.

“Thank you so much for letting me spend time with them tonight my butterfly. You have made me so happy. Now I heard someone say that I was staying the night. Now where exactly will I be sleeping, huh? Little one?” Jayden whispered to me.

Hearing him call me little one and butterfly again has my body going haywire. The s****l tension between us is about to go supernova. I know Jax is staying at his girlfriend Autumn's house tonight, as he wanted to spend time with Autumn away without two terrors barreling into his room at whatever time they get up in the morning. When I went to put the kids to bed, Aaron let me know that Mila had made it to town and was staying at the B&B, and he was going to go stay with her tonight as she wanted company. He won’t admit his feelings for her, and she won’t admit hers for him. It’s so cute watching them at times. He told me he would lock the house up once he left, and I could just let Jayden out when he was ready to leave. Being a little bit cheeky, I started walking my fingers up and down Jayden’s chest. I leaned into him and placed my mouth near his ear.

“Oh, I may have forgotten to mention that Jax is at his girlfriend’s house for the night to get some ‘alone’ time with her and Aaron left after we brought the boys up to bed to go meet a friend that came into town today, and she wanted some company for the night. Also, I may have told my brothers that you are staying here tonight because the boys asked you to. So I don't think they will be home till tomorrow afternoon” I whispered in his ear.

Jayden is quick to move. He picks me up and instinctively my legs wrap around his waist as he carries me to my bedroom. He walks through the open door, kicking it closed after we walk in. He drops me onto the bed, landing on my back. I pushed up my elbows and looked at Jayden. He was grinning at me, and he looked like he was possessed. He slowly stalks towards the bed, lowering himself over me till his lips are next to my ear and whispers

“Tonight, you are mine. I am going to drive you crazy with want and need. I am going to remind you why you will always be mine, little one.”
