Cia's words hung in the air, heavy with threat. Kael's eyes darted, trapped.

Maya's wolf growled, understanding sparking. 'You orchestrated the attack on her sister. Why?'

Kael's smile was twisted. 'She was weak. I needed leverage.'

Cia's hands curled into fists. 'You used her as bait for the Wolves of Midnight.'

The room darkened, Roxi's voice low. 'What happened to her?'

Cia's gaze never left Kael. 'Dead. Because of him.'

Kael's smirk faltered as Cia's eyes burned with a cold fury. 'You took my sister's life,' Cia said, voice low, 'and now you're going to pay.'

Maya's wolf watched, a silent guardian. Roxi shifted, ready to intervene if needed.

Cia's wolf surged forward, pinning Kael down. He snarled, fear creeping into his eyes.
