Cora stumbled a little as Jagson pulled her down the path to the gardens. She could already see the glow from the lanterns that had been hung in preparation for tonight’s feast. It was early dusk, and despite the agony waging in her mind she felt a sense of calm come over her at the sight of the festival that had been prepared. As soon as she had Nova and her parents within reach they were running as fast as they could. Her wolf was still hiding, perhaps when she was away from this place she would make her presence known, but Cora couldn’t waste any more time exerting her efforts.
