Cora hurried around the side of a building, having spotted Marla coming out of one of the other shops. Her heart raced in her chest, hoping she hadn't been spotted. She rolled her eyes at herself, she wasn't doing anything wrong, except putting herself in danger, but even then Cora knew she could defend herself. She waited a few more moments, praying Marla had moved on and feeling slightly like a small child getting caught in the pantry. Finally, she peeked her head around the corner and quickly scanned the crowd. The coast was clear so she stepped back on to the busy street. It hadn't taken her long to discover that one of the ship tradesman had a small cottage on the outskirts of town, nearest the forest gate, and had decided to head in that direction.
