My heart pounded as I watched Aria collapse. My hands moved instinctively, catching her before she hit the ground. “Aria!” I called out, fear gripping my voice. Her body felt unusually warm, a stark contrast to the chill in the air.
I quickly lifted her, cradling her close as I hurried inside my chambers. The corridors blurred past me, my only focus was on getting her somewhere safe. Once inside, I gently laid her on the bed, brushing her hair away from her face. Her breathing was shallow, her eyes closed in a state of unconsciousness.
