Chapter Two
David lifted his head from the altar and saw a glimmer of a keyhole on the side. He glanced at Father Wilson and narrowed his eyes a little seeing an outline shape of a key in the man’s pocket. David rose up and marched down to them.
“We have to leave. There isn’t anything left in the town. There has to be a way out of here ma,” David said with an unknown voice.
They glimpse at her, and Emily rubbed her temples, “there is a way, but it is going through the underground of the church.”
“Underground of the church?” Jaden whispered almost to himself.
“That hasn’t been used for years. There could be anything down there,” Father Wilson cried out.
“There is much more you don’t understand young one,” Emily said patronizing him.
