Chapter 7 – Melanie FightsThe medical staff kept both fighters in the clinic overnight. Annamaria received seven stitches, while the doctor put Christie’s left hand in a brace. The two opponents were both glad to end up in beds next to each other.
‘How many stitches?’ Christie had a grin on her face.
‘Seven. How is your hand?’
‘Broken. My tournament is over. Will you be able to fight again?’
‘Yes. The doctor advised against it, but she did not prohibit me to fight.’
‘Maybe I will come watch your next match.’
‘I will like that.’
‘Do you have a girlfriend?’
‘I am not sure.’
‘How are you not sure?’
‘I slept with my best friend last night. But we have not talked about it yet.’
‘I will fight her for you.’ The blonde had a huge smile on her face, but Annamaria knew she meant this.
