The brutal truth

Sapphire POV:
I went to the pack house to find my mate in hopes he hasn’t left yet. I went to the area of the guest rooms and tried to sniff him out . Pinewood and cinnamon , somehow now my favorite smell in the whole world but could also become my most hated . I finally found the door that held his scent the strongest but there was another scent . One I found very familiar but couldn’t quite figure out who it was , until I heard her voice . My heart broke . Brooklyn … the pack w**** , her scent was in there . I knocked conjuring up all courage to face this man without breaking down completely . My whole entire life I have been broken down and talked into as if I was nothing . Treated as if I was nothing and the one person I looked forward to giving me a chance was on the other side of this door with another woman . This time I pounded on the door putting all emotion into this door . He opened it and I couldn’t hold it in anymore I just let the tears flow freely down my face .
“ You a******, you didn’t even give me a chance, give us a chance . You didn’t even try to get to know me .”
“ You are a nobody . I know enough about you , you have no wolf and you are just a weak a** human , too weak to run my pack by my side as my Luna.”
Then the absolute unexpected thing my wolf decided to make an appearance .
“ You better watch how you talk to my human you pathetic pup. I tried to stay back and out of my humans life because she is one hell of a strong woman but you just broke her heart and she was counting on you as her mate . Our mother makes no mistakes but this one she must not have seen herself . My human and I are stronger than you and your entire pack combined and even more and you will be sorry when you see that one day . Also , the pack w**** is an even worse choice of a Luna than my human would be on her own. I’m also sure you have yet talked to your wolf this morning since you blocked him last night for your dumb needs. He’s hurting, I have put a barrier up between him and I because I am at the brink of rejecting both of you but I will let my human decide that fate. You better hope she’s kinder than I am. Pathetic alpha pup.” Celeste said as she stepped forward to speak . I took one look at my mate and his jaw dropped and so did brooklyns . Even if she did decide to say something she has no proof so no one will believe her . I took a deep breathe turned a walked away . I needed to let off some steam . I decided to get me a light breakfast of oatmeal and some coffee then change into my running clothes and run. I ran until I literally couldn’t breathe and collapsed on the ground by a nearby lake . Not even a second later I blacked out with tears coming out of my eyes .
I felt like I was floating out of my body . Celeste came into my view .
“ I’m sorry my beautiful human but I came to surface too soon and tired our body out . You were brave but feeling your pain angered me and so I decided to step forward. The rejection is for you to decided my love . I am here with you every step of the way but for now we need to heal . We will wake up in a few hours don’t worry . Just rest.”
My wolfs words played through my mind . I felt relaxed for the first time in years . I let my worries go and everything negative go away . Now I will rest , no one will come looking for me anyways . At that moment I smelled pinewood and cinnamon , my mind must be just playing tricks and trying to relax me more than I already was . I drifted into the blackness .
