She had barely settled into bed before drifting off into a peaceful sleep. Miranda slept soundly, but Carson lay awake, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep, afraid that this beautiful, simple life he was experiencing was just a dream. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined living a life so warm and serene.
