Ananya’s POV
"Please, I am done." I said for umpteenth time
"No, you aren't, so sit still." Sakshi replied in a monotone probably annoyed by my sentence which I had been repeating for the past twenty minutes
I am presently in Shaan and Sakshi's apartment, thousands of dresses were lying on their bed with hundreds of heels arranged in a row and I am sitting on one of the chair with an excited Sakshi standing over me doing my make-over.
"Now what should I do with this pimple?" Sakshi asked as she touched my pimple with her fore finger
"Remove it. It hasn't given me the rent for staying on my face." I replied to her question in an irritating tone
"I can apply some concealer and put a coat of foundation that might hide it." she suggested and started applying another layer of the concealer over that hideous pimple
After spending fifteen more minutes on my make over, Sakshi gave me a thumbs up and finally allowed me to see myself in the mirror
"Is this really me?" I asked in disbelief as soon as I saw my make-over face.
Sakshi hadn’t caked my face in make-up, like she did it last time, I cringed inwardly remembering my cake face.
The makeup she did today was simple, elegant yet at the same time professional, just the way I like it.
"Yes, it's you my darling." she replied with excitement and started doing her makeup.
I took another look of myself. She has curled my hairs a little bit and added some shine towards their ends. My eyelashes are looking longer in size due to the amount of mascara she has applied over them. She also applied a triple coat of liner on them to make them look more prominent and bigger in size. My skin tone is turned into a lighter shade. And a bold red lipstick complimented my entire look.
"How is my work?" she asked me after applying eyeliner on her eyelids
"Wonderful." I instantly answered without even thinking for more than five seconds
I consumed her face. She is looking classy and elegant
"You are looking beautiful Sakshi." I said completely in awe of her face
"Thanks." she replied her cheeks turning a bit red
"Now go wear your suit." she said while clearing her throat and reached over piles of clothes over her bed searching for her outfit of the day. She tossed dresses here and there and I picked them behind her.
"This one." she says in a chirping tone and turns only to find my hands packed by collecting her thrown clothes. She sighed and shook her head before grabbing them and again throwing them on those piles of clothes through which she hadn’t rummaged
“Mind if I change first?” I asked Sakshi while taking my suit in my hand
“Not at all Honey.” Sakshi said while searching for her footwear
I walked inside the bathroom and wore my black formal suit it had a black pant, a black jacket, and pairing it with my white formal crisp button-down shirt. I walked out of the bathroom, as soon as Sakshi looked at me her eyes r***d my body and her jaw literary touched the floor.
"Are you done checking me out?" I asked with a smirk evident on my face
"Damn God!! You are looking so sexy girl. You’re going to slay today. Thank me later." she said in a cocky tone and hugged me before I could reply
"What you did to her?" I heard Shaan's voice and blushed
He quickly watched me from top to bottom with his mouth hanging open
"Stop drooling over her. You wife is standing over here and you are shamelessly checking other girl out." Sakshi said and started stomping her feet repeatedly one after the other.
"I am so sorry, baby." Shaan says while picking her up in his arms and dumping her on the bed.
Wait!! Where are the clothes?
He hovered over her and nuzzles his nose over her expose skin of neck.
"Get a room both of you." I yelled and turned to other side to save my innocent eyes
"We are in our room only. You are the one who is disturbing our moments." Shaan yelled at me in a teasing tone
"Fine, I will leave." I huffed and walked out of the room leaving the love birds alone in their required privacy
Outside their room I saw Arun and Varun sitting on one of the couches of the living room waiting for us to arrive
“Ananya you’re looking so hot.” Varun exclaimed upon seeing me
“Ani you are looking like a sexy siren.” Arun said while giving me a soft smile
I gave them a smile and took my heels. I wore a five-inch black stiletto it was an ankle strap one and my pants hid the strap completely.
Shaan and Sakshi came out after some time with Sakshi blushing like hell I gave her a knowing look and winked at her which made her blush more.
We left for office after that I quickly called Riya to inform about the same. She wished us good luck and asked not to worry about anything.
Soon the car pulled up in office's parking plot and all of us jumped out.
"Are you ready topper?" Shaan asked me with an eyebrow raised in a teasing way
"Ready. And you first runner up?" I asked him in the same tone
"Nervous like hell." he replied acting all scared
"But I am excited." Sakshi booms out of no where
"Who asked about you Mrs. Sharma?" Shaan pokes her and she returned a forced smile.
“Guys we can continue this later. We’ll get late.” Varun intervened and put an end to the upcoming argument
As soon as we reached our floor, we bid our goodbyes and turned towards our respective cabins.
I exhaled loudly and started preparing for my meeting. I checked my files out again and my best sketches to be shown today.
Mr. Singh appeared on my cabin's door and my permission to get in which I willingly gave with a smile.
"I just want to tell you that he will not check your work. He will just check out your self-confidence." he said in a formal tone
"Sir… but" I am confused. Is he trying to help me out?
"I know this is important for you. So, I just gave you a hint." he said and winked at me in the last.
I smiled and quickly thanked him.
"His flight will be landing before your lunch begins and he will arrive here before it ends. So, I will suggest your name to him at that time." he says with a sweet smile.
"Sir, I will get the internship own my own. Please sir, don't suggest my name to him." I pleaded, my self-respect and ego both didn’t agree on this he smiled and nodded his head in affirmation
After he left my cabin, I massaged my forehead with my fingers, I so hate being an architect now. I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth for some time in to control my anger.
Taking a few deep breaths, I quickly typed a message to everyone telling them what all they should prepare and when will the CEO arrive.
In no time lunch was announced and we all attacked cafeteria like hungry wolves. All time during the lunch I can feel multiple pair of eyes on me.
Arg!! Typical male species
I rolled my eyes in annoyance because of the constant never ending stares.
Before we head towards our respective cabins, a peon announced the arrival of CEO.
I walked towards the washroom redid my makeup a bit, applying a new coat of lipstick I walked out of the washroom, fixing my coat.
I reached the conference room and found that the big table was surrounded by twelve chairs. Two on head position on either side while five on each side facing each other.
Our names were written in a panel which was placed in front of seats.
Few have already taken up the seats until I arrived.
I paddled up to my seat.
It was first seat while my adjacent seat labeled as Shaan's followed by Varun's and Arun's and the last seat of our row was labeled as Sakshi's.
"Seating order is ranking wise." Shaan commented and Sakshi pouts before leaving us on our seats to get her seat.
I sat on my chair and mentally prepared myself.
Soon all the top ten were seating on their respective chairs.
Number ten was seating just opposite to me and we shared a smile.
Within next five minutes doors opened and Mr. Singh walked in.
He sat on one of the head-chair which was placed near Sakshi’s chair. While the head seat beside me was empty.
For CEO
Oh… God. Can this day get any better?
"I see Shaan has ditched you Sakshi." Mr. Singh asked playfully to Sakshi.
"Yes." she replied while all of us giggled.
"Shantanu this is bad." he faked scolded us and Sakshi smirks.
"I will be on your side, my lady." Mr. Singh reached for Sakshi's hands.
She blushed but placed hers on his.
"You will totally regret your decision Sir. I bet." Shaan commented and the rest of us nodded our head in yes.
Sakshi gave us a murderous glare and turned to other side leaving all of us in giggles.
Gates turns open and gains our attention. Two bodyguards walked in with formal suits and Bluetooth attached to their ears.
They were followed by a young beautiful woman, must be CEO's secretary dressed up in nice, sexy siren attire and then the person for whom we all were waiting for enters inside the room
The CEO in his expensive black formal suit with white shirt beneath it along with a black tie talking on his phone.
All stood up to greet him, but I stood up in shock.
