“Little girl,” Eleanor said coldly. “You should’ve stayed in the woods.” Glyphs and ancestral fire bloomed behind her. Mira snarled, but she took a step back. Felix called from outside. “Fall back! Ezra’s retreating!” Mira’s lip curled. “This isn’t over.” She vanished into smoke. The battle was over. But not the war. Ezra’s forces limped away, bruised and broken. Mira had been seen, and felt.
