Chapter 9: Cara’s Designs

Andrew personally came and talked to me about what was going on and he took the package. He introduced me to Bryce, he would be my new body guard from afar. He was a handsome man and it looked like he had eyes for Stacy and Stacy for him. It was cute honestly but I needed to make sure that he knew he was there for me.

Bryce had saw my expression and he confirmed that he was there for me no matter what, no distractions. I kind of felt bad for Stacy but this wasn’t forever, just until the find who is stalking me. Andrew also mentioned that cameras were going to be installed here at the office, indoor and outdoor and installed at my condo. Luckily though there was cameras in the parkade, hallways, stairwells and elevators so they just had to put a camera in my place which was fine by me.

I kind of thought this was over kill, but with my mom out and my rapeist no one wanted to risk anything. I was thankful for that, but was feeling overwhelmed. My privacy was no longer and that bothered me. My safety was priority but still made me feel weak and I was not weak. I didn’t put up with people’s s**t and this was not going to stop me!

After my afternoon with Andrew and Bryce I decided I needed to finalize Joel and Amara’s design. I was going to start the nursery first, it made more sense, this would give the room time to settle. This room was going to be pink and white with a feature of flowers, water and flamingos the curtains will be pink and grey. The crib will be white, with pinks bedding, the change table and dresser would be white and pink, the rocker Amara will need with be grey and white, we will rip up the carpet and put a grey carpet, and a white shag rug. In the closet will have a semi walk in for all the clothes and shoes. This little girl will be able to grow up in this room. In the one corner there will be a bookshelf with baby books that her parents will read to her and there will be floating shelves and a flamingo piggy bank and ornaments. The other corner of the room will be her play area, so there will be a play mat, and baby toys. When I had put all the arrangements on the iPad in 3D style, I was blown away, it was beautiful. A ping of jealousy hit me but I pushed it aside. Next I worked on their master bedroom and this will be a bedroom oasis, a place they can unwind after a day of hockey and parenting, this will bring peace. The wall colors are a beautiful pale oak with a sage feature wall with wooden panels, white black out blinds, a dark brown California king, with dark brown dresser and end tables, the carpet will be ripped out with a nice grey carpet and pot lights in the ceiling that change colors and a couple wall pieces. Finally the ensuite will be a sage color, white countertops, dark grey shower tile and white stone on the bottom of the shower and heated the shower will a spa steam style shower, there will be a free standing tub. The floor in the ensuite will be removed and underfloor heating would be installed with an oak color tile, cabinets will be grey.

As everything is in 3D form, their place looks amazing. I finalized each room, with the cost break down per room. I then sent the drawings to Joel and Amara, next I just needed to wait for confirmation or any changes they may want then I could get started. Not even 10 minutes later I get a email back from them both that they are in love with the design and there is not changes and to go ahead and start.

Nothing better than landing this job with no changes.
