They saw it crawling in a corner—a very fat rat, as big as the size of a small cat, sniffing at the corner looking for what to eat.
"R–R–Rat!” she yelled.
Dante blinked. “...You have got to be kidding me... Are you serious right now?”
Kael held his chest. "You almost gave me a heart attack. So you screamed like that because of a rat? I almost feared something had happened to the baby."
Alpha barely had time to blink.
One moment, she was standing beside Alpha
Next, she flew straight behind him to hide.
"Alpha—Alpha please don't let it touch me."
Alpha stood still
Not because of the rat but because Annie was pressed right against him, her breath was warm on his back, her hands gripped his waistline like he was the only safe place in the world.
