The spell that was holding Peggy disappeared. The young woman stumbled forward, suddenly able to move again. She ran across the room to where Dante and Kael stood, putting them between herself and Lady Eden.
"There," Lady Eden gasped. "Everything you asked-I did it all-now let me go-"
Alpha smiled.
It was the scariest smile she had ever seen on anyone's face.
"Let you go?" Alpha repeated softly.
"You got what you wanted-Adam is free-the girl is free-you"
"I did get what I wanted," Alpha agreed. His claws flexed around her heart. "But guess what? I never said I wasn't going to kill you."
Lady Eden's eyes went wide with shock. "You-Zerok scum bag-Just like your father" She spat in his face.
Alpha twisted his hand.
The sound Lady Eden made wasn't really a scream.
