ALESSIA We all sat in the living room—each of them on a sofa, while I sat on the upholstered ottoman with my jotter and pen. My eyes lifted and landed on Axel. He winked. A shiver ran through me, and I quickly looked away. I hate him… and my body has totally lost it. I cleared my throat and turned to Azriel. The cigarette between his fingers was making me uncomfortable. “Can you put that down… just for now?” I asked gently. His gaze locked on mine. He didn’t flinch—and neither did I.
