Victoria Price stood entirely motionless in the torrential downpour. The cold rainwater soaked through her pristine white designer suit. It plastered her dark hair to her face and ruined her expensive makeup.
She stared blindly at the young billionaire sitting in the back of the armored SUV. The tinted window was rolled down just enough for his deep voice to cut through the heavy storm.
She had sacrificed her entire fifteen year career for him. She had thrown away her corporate power because she believed in his flawless acoustic resonance. Now she was completely blacklisted and entirely helpless.
