"Get away from my wife-" Xavier didn't let Mason complete his sentence because the moment he called Tiara his wife he completely lost it and without turning around he stretched his left hand backward and pulled the trigger and it went right into his skull. The gun didn't make much sound as there was a silencer used to reduce the sound of gun firing. "Mason!" Tiara shouted when she saw his head limping backward and the bullet between his brows. Her body went stiff, her heart stopped beating and her mind stopped processing and just like that her legs gave away and the man who was holding her down let her go and she fell down on her knees. "M-Mason" she whispered; her face was blank but her eyes kept fixed on his body without blinking for a second as tears continuously made their way out of her eyes. The man who was holding Mason loosened his grip and Mason's body fell on the floor with a thud sound which made Tiara flinch back to reality. Her eyes widened and she slowly started to crawl her way to his body because she didn't trust her legs at that moment, she knew they had given up. "M-Mason," she called him, patting his cheek lightly to wake him up but there was no response, his eyes kept wide open, staring right back at her with no trace of life in them. "No!" She screamed with the top of her lungs when her mind finally processed that he was dead. Her inside crunched at the sudden realization that the man she loved was lying in her lap lifeless. Her heart bled as she looked at the brutal death given to him. "Mason no! please no!" she broke down in sobs as she hugged his body tightly, afraid that she would never get to hold him again. She sobbed hysterically for losing her beloved husband. "Mason, p-please don't l-leave me baby" She said to his dead body, her husband didn't deserve this. Her Mason didn't deserve this cruelty that had bestowed upon him. She felt a tug at her elbow and she looked up and found Xavier looking down at her with his cold grey eyes that now reminded her of a devil. Her face went red due to crying and the helpless sobs still kept coming out of her mouth, her entire body was shivering as she wept and wept for her dead husband. Tiara who was drowning in grief was forced to stand up on her feet when Xavier pulled her up but she just kept screaming and sobbing for her husband, she never looked up at him. Xavier stretched his hand to one of his men and an injection was placed on his palm and without wasting any second, he injected that sedative drug into her system. Tiara tried to struggle against him when she felt the needle pricking her skin but Xavier's grip was as strong as steel and when he was done, he left her and this time she stood on her feet and kept looking at the man she loved, her husband who was dead now. She knew she would faint within a minute and she would never get to see her Mason again once she would open her eyes again. She didn't want to waste any second but to keep looking at him, to carve every feature in the blank canvas of her mind she would forever hold near to her heart till the day she dies. She felt it, she felt the sedative working its way on her. she felt her body getting numb, her eyelids getting heavy and her vision getting blurry yet she didn't look away from Mason, "I am sorry." she mumbled to him and slowly sheer darkness engulfed her but before she could collapse on the floor Xavier held her. He looked at her unconscious figure whose lips were still moving. Perhaps she was mumbling something but it wasn't clear enough to understand. He looked at her with so much rage that he wanted to kill every single person on this planet to vent out the anger her betrayal had caused him. Everything went silent eventually, she went completely numb. The eerie silence engulfed all of them and no one dared to move or say anything until Xavier spoke, finally making his decision he broke the silence. "Noah" he addressed his best friend who was his right hand as well, "get the jet ready, we are leaving now." he ordered and Noah quickly nodded his head and went away calling their pilot to arrange everything. "Luca" he addressed the other man, his second-best friend and second in command after Noah, "get the car ready." and with that Luca went away. Xavier was left alone in that house with Tiara and Mason who was now dead. The warmth this household held before his arrival was replaced by a cold chilly aura of terror. He lowered his eyes and looked at the dead man with rage in his menacing grey eyes. The man who had been living his life and his dream, Xavier had killed him because he tried to replace him from the very dream he had been seeing since he was a child. Xavier, for a second thought that he had given Mason an easy, very easy death. It was quick and he wouldn't have felt anything but then again, he couldn't control himself when Mason stated his claim on Tiara, his Tiara. The moment he called Tiara his wife, Xavier completely lost it because it was supposed to be him who could call her his wife. His eyes shifted to Tiara and the hardness in them seemed to fade away when he saw her beautiful face that had turned red due to excessive crying but when his mind recalled her betrayal, his heart clenched in pain. she had stabbed his heart with the dagger of betrayal that even it was afraid to love her again. He bent down a bit and slid his one arm under her knees while the other was already supporting her head, he picked her up swiftly and started moving, his long legs took a few strides and he was out of the house. When Noah saw Xavier approaching them with Tiara in his arms, he quickly opened the door of the back seat and Xavier got in with her on his lap but he didn't look at her, not for once as it only reminded him of the promise she had broken. Xavier kept looking at the house where Tiara had started her new life with Mason like her old life meant nothing to her, like he meant nothing to her. Luca started the car and the house that was blooming with happiness a few hours ago that had now turned to a place where the devil had put his feet on, making it to mourn in pain and sadness, that house slowly started to fade away from their sight. Xavier picked her up once again as they reached the airport and he entered inside his private jet followed by Noah and Luca who kept a straight face just like Xavier as they both understood the criticality of the situation Xavier was in. The air hostess and the pilot greeted them but none of them said anything or greeted back and settled in and the plane took off, leaving behind the life and dream Tiara had thought to live here in England. After a few minutes when they unbuckled their seat belts, Xavier stood up with Tiara still in his arms and made her way inside the bedroom and placed her on the bed, covering her with a blanket he stormed out and sat across Noah in his seat. Luca who was sitting beside Noah looked at Xavier whose face was as cold as ice but eyes were blazing red and he gestured to Noah through his eyes to which Noah nodded back in response. "What's next, Xavier?" Noah asked and Xavier flickered his eyes up at him and then to Luca. "I will inform my father that we have found her." He answered looking straight into their eyes and both of them nodded their heads. "She would be killed." Luca exclaimed, looking at Xavier with a bewildered look. Xavier nodded his head like it did not affect him a bit and said in an emotionless tone, "She brought this upon herself, she knew the rules." He sounded nonchalant, acting as if nothing had happened. "If it's about the rules then you shouldn't have killed her husba-" "He was not her husband, she couldn't be anything to him because she is my fiancé!" Xavier snapped suddenly at Luca, clenching his fist tightly to control himself from beating him to death for calling that man her husband. The calm and unbothered façade he was trying to pull off was revealed. "She was." It was Noah who spoke this time, correcting his friend as he continued, "She was your fiancé but after what she did, she couldn't be one ever again," Noah said in a bitter tone, "she betrayed you." Xavier felt like Noah had rubbed the reality on his face. She had indeed betrayed him and no one knew it better than him but yet whenever someone else said that to him, he felt like he had failed in keeping his woman to himself. All the respect he had earned from his clan was shaken when everyone looked at him with those uncertain eyes, questioning his capability to rule over them. "That man," Xavier started after a brief pause, "Mason Smith was not the one who went against us so there was no point of waiting to kill him off." he sighed, he knew Mason had nothing to do with what Tiara did yet deep down he blamed him for coming in her life, taking his place and living the life he wanted to live with Tiara. "Do you think your father would show mercy on Tiara?" Luca questioned in a slightly worried tone, he knew what Tiara had done was wrong but he was still worried for her, "what if he sells her to someone who tortures her as her punishment?" he wondered, he knew Tiara was bound to die for betraying Xavier but he just didn't want her to die a torturous death. Xavier clenched his jaw as that idea was processed by his mind but he kept his mouth shut. He looked at his watch and knew they would soon be landing and dismissed everyone by going inside the bathroom. It was four in the morning when they reached the Black mansion in Spain, their home and clan. He knew his dad must be sleeping and he was glad for that and took her underground where they had a dungeon and entered a room at the farthest corner and placed her on the bed and went out not sparing her a single glance and locked the door on his way out. Xavier went upstairs to his room with a slight ache that his heart was feeling and he knew there was no medicine to cure it. There was nothing that could heal the wound of a betrayal that was given by one who was supposed to be on your side. He had done everything, everything in his power to make her happy and yet this was how she had repaid him. He knew there was no love to begin with from her side but there was always trust between them that she seemingly didn't even think twice about before breaking. She hadn't only stained his image by running away with a different man but had also hurt his ego but what he most cared about was his broken heart. The girl who had caused his heart to beat had also managed to made it bleed and the agonizing pain he felt, a pain he couldn't even show to anyone because he was Xavier Black, a leader who was expected to be fearless and ruthless and he was indeed one but when it comes to heart, the most powerful man had kneeled down before his woman but his world did not understand that, it never would. Xavier was a king who wouldn't have minded kneeling before Tiara to make her happy and yet she ran away. The freedom he had always given her to fulfil her dreams, she used the same freedom to shatter his dreams.
