Xavier instantly turned around with the speed of light and looked at her with mouth agape opened as if she had gone crazy. Was she really asking him to help her with her dress? Perhaps he heard her wrong. Xavier believed to choose the latter one while discarding the former thought.
“What are you waiting for?” her nonchalant voice brought him back and he looked at her with confusion, “help me.” She said staring right into his eyes through the mirror, and he knew there was no confusion, she had actually asked him to do that.
“I, um, send a, uh, maid. Yes! I will send a maid to help you!” Xavier stuttered, he knew he could lose control and things might go out of his hand. Xavier was no saint, he had a fair amount of pleasurable moments with different women but he was cautious when it comes to Tiara because she was not any woman, he could have his ways with, she was Tiara, the woman he loved and besides he did not want to ruin things between them, she had accepted his love and he reckoned that it was totally fine to not to rush into anything.
“You are my husband, Xavier. It’s alright.” He was at loss of words and nodded still in dazed but kind of convinced by her words and slowly moved closer to her, decreasing the distance between them with each step. He stood behind her and with trembling hands he reached for her zipper. His euphoric emotions overwhelmed him completely, holding him captive in a trance that his fingers unconsciously brushed against the soft skin of her back.
She took a sharp breath when his fingers touched her back, the warmness of his hand seemed to tease her and in a swift moment he pulled the zipper down. She held her dress from front stopping it from falling down and slipping away from her body leaving her completely nude.
Xavier stepped back and looked away from her absolutely naked back and cleared his throat before speaking, “I am inside the bedroom, call me if you need any help.” He turned around and left her alone with quick steps to avoid any sort of awkwardness and to keep the desirous urge he felt to touch her at bay.
Tiara stood there completely numb for a minute, his touch still lingering on her body and it made her feel disgusted. She wanted to run away at that moment but reminded herself that it was all a plan and she needed to do it. She needed to sacrifice this much to ensure that it was the victory that awaits her in the future.
She let her dress fall down leaving her in her white lacy underwear, her wedding dress pooled around her legs and she stepped out of it and pulled out a white towel from the cupboard, she went inside the bathroom and stood under the warm shower.
Letting the warm water wash away all her tiredness and emotions she felt at that time, she needed to suppress them otherwise it would be a hurdle from accomplishing what she truly desired. She was ready to do anything, to stoop low if needed but one thing was sure that she would make him miserable in the end and that was the sole purpose of her life.
Tiara had fought her battle to attain freedom and had her chance with love and but in the end she met with defeat and like an honourable human she had accepted her loss and now she was only keen to fight a battle of hate and revenge.
Tiara knew that it could not bring her happiness yet she was possessed by the utter feeling of hatred and sorrowful despair that it made her to choose this path, she had tried living her life with hope and love but that only ended up having her fallen in the depth of despair so it only seemed fair to her to give a chance to blooming hatred inside her to lead her for the rest of her life.
Stepping out of the shower with her hair drenched, she put on a white bathroom robe and entered the closet, she dried her hair with the help of a drier and looked through the female section of the closet, looking for something that could help her in achieving what she had planned for today.
Xavier sat leisurely on the couch with his head leaning back as he stared out of the window. He was now dressed in a black shirt with a black sweat pants, patiently waiting for her to come out. His eyes were fixed on the moon that could be seen from his room, through the large glass window while his hand toyed with the black rectangular box.
The door of the closet opened with a clicking sound of the door knob and she stepped out. Her hair was neatly brushed, face bare without any make up and yet her enchanting green eyes managed to stand out the most. She wore a black robe made up of silk, the sewn-in belt tied around her tiny waist. The robe ended till her mid thighs and her slim and long legs were on display and she looked heavenly like an angel despite wearing the color of devil.
She approached him while trying to sway her hips to look appealing but Xavier, considering her innocence, discarded the fact that she was doing it purposely and scolded himself for having dirty thoughts about her.
“Can we have some wine?” Xavier did not know why but she looked exceptionally relaxed like he was the only one feeling confused on how to act and talk in order to avoid any awkwardness between them. Things had started getting better between him and her and he did not wish to ruin the progress he had made so far by taking any unmeasured step.
“Yes, of course.” He accepted her request and stood up, walking to the small cellar in his room that had all kinds of liquor and wine. He fetched a bottle of wine along with two glasses and went back to the couch, placing the wine and the glasses on the table he gestured to her to sit beside him on the couch.
Tiara nodded but instead of sitting she turned around and moved towards the bed, bending down a little she switched off the lights and the room instantly turned darker with a dim yellowish light that was coming from the chandelier hanging on the ceiling right above at the foot of the bed.
She came back to the couch, sitting beside him on the couch and smiled at him before grasping a glass of wine and clicking it with his glass.
“To us!” she raised her glass a little in the air making Xavier amuse as he had never witnessed this side of her, he never thought she had that in her but then again they were not really close like they were now and with that logic in his mind he discarded all the suspicion in his mind and raised his glass as well making a toast, “to us!”
Her lips touched the rim of the glass, taking in the red liquid in her mouth with her eyes closed as if she was really lost in the metallic taste of the wine. They were sitting on the far corner near the window where the moonlight was directly falling on her figure. Her body seemed to sparkle under the glorious light the moon was showering her with and she looked like an angel to him, a tempted one who was teasing him with her innocence.
Xavier looked away, trying his best to restrain himself from getting lost in her and gulped the savoury liquid in one go and reached for the bottle to pour himself some more but then decided against it, it was his first night with her as her husband and he did not want to be drunk.
He shifted closer to her making Tiara anxious a bit, leaning towards her body he stretched his hand to her waist and she thought that he was reaching to undo the knot of her robe and quickly closed her eyes and clutched her hands in a fist to stop herself from pushing him away.
He noticed how she her grip hardened seemingly and her eyes went shut when he decreased the distance between them, he felt dejected and it pained his heart but he managed to smile sadly and slide his hand past her waist behind the cushion and fist out a rectangular box he left there when he went to fetch out the wine.
“You can open your eyes, Tiara.” he said softly but she managed to detect the pain he was trying to hide in his voice. An expression of confusion adorned her beautiful face when she heard him and slowly opened her eyes only to find him with a rectangular box in his hand.
A frown made its way on her face and she tilted her head a little as she realized that he was reaching for the box instead of what she had thought, “what is it?” she chose to feign ignorance as she did not feel like comforting him.
“a wedding gift,” he smiled softly at her and offered her the rectangular box. She was fond of gifts ever since she was a kid and he was aware of that, he had given her so many gifts on her birthdays, Christmas or even on new years but she was always reluctant to accept any but had never denied him either, she did not have the guts to tell him that she did like receiving anything from him.
She had kept some of the gifts sent by him and had returned the rest using the excuse that they were too expensive to accept. As per her gifting diamond earring, cars and dresses to a teenager who was a high school student was completely useless and had always taken that action of his as show off.
“a wedding gift?” she muttered and slowly took it from him, she looked at him whose eyes were already on her and smiled at him with slight hesitation before opening the box slowly, she knew beforehand that there would be a piece of expensive jewellery in there.
She opened the box slowly and as expected there was a pair of rectangular shaped dark red stud earrings, her eyes observed them carefully and she touched them with the tips of her finger, caressing them softly, “are these rubies?” her inquisitive tone showed her interest in the given gift.
“They are Red Beryl.” Her eyes widened in surprise and an expected gasp left from her mouth and she looked again at the pair of earrings but this time with a look that showed that they were very precious, she caressed the fine gem stone again softly, not believing that she actually got to touch one.
“How did you get these? They are so ex-“ Xavier interrupted her not letting her utter that word, the word she always used as an excuse to return his gift, he did not want her to utter that ever again.
“Rare? I know this much.” She was about to use expensive but the proper word was rare so she nodded at him, “rare things are precious and I wanted to give this precious piece of the jewel to the person who is very precious to me.” His emotions were raw when he made that confession to her, everyone has concluded that she was important to him but all of them were wrong, she was precious; important things lose their value at a certain time but precious things are always taken care of as a treasure.
“They are beautiful.” She said lost in the beauty of that shining gemstone, she had read a lot about gemstones and had always been interested in them but no one knew about this interest of her and she wondered how Xavier chose to give her these instead of diamonds which he usually does.
“Why did you choose to give me this?” She questioned him because she really was curious as she was sure that he did not know much about the gemstones and if she was not wrong then he probably would not even have heard of this one.
“Well, I just heard from your dad that you were studying so much about gemstones during your summer break and I have figured out that diamond was not something that really interests you.” He lied, he knew it because he had Luca to follow her around to get updates about her likes and dislikes as he had initially planned to approach her once she had graduated from high school but things changed when she went to England for further studies and the rest was history.
“I was on a business trip when I heard that the auction for some of the precious gemstones was taking place, so I bought these ones because these were the ones that instantly reminded me of you.” The intoxicating red color of the stone was in contrast to her green eyes and he knew that it would make her beautiful eyes stand out even more.
“But it’s so expensive, I can’t accept it, Xavier.” She closed the box and tried to give it back to him but he held her hand.
“it’s my wedding gift for you, Tiara, so don’t think about the money but my feelings for you.” His warm hand caressed her cheek softly as he looked into her eyes, trying to reach her soul.
She felt like she was melting under his gaze that held so much love for her and lowered her eyes, “but I don’t have anything to give you.” She mumbled slowly but he heard her due to their close proximity, letting out an amused chuckle.
He leaned down, a little closer to her and put one of his fingers under her chin and lifted it up, making her look at him, “your existence alone is the most precious gift to me.” His voice was deep, emotions raw and intense and it appeared as a perfect opportunity for her to act as per plan and she pressed her lips onto his, kissing him softly she tried best to manipulate him.
