“Hey princess, I've got something to show you," mum said, both of us sitting in front of an open fire. A hut can be seen at a fair distance. It looked like we were camping.
“What's that mum?" I asked excitedly as she gently pulled me onto her lap. I watched as she turned to check if there were eyes on us and when she was sure there'd been none, which was highly unexpected given how isolated the hut looked, she smiled mischievously before speaking after moving closer to my ear as if to tell a secret.
“I want to show you a little magic trick, sweetheart, promise not to get too excited and give it away,” she said and I nodded enthusiastically, crossing my arms over my chest to give her my word.
