“Alpha Orion, you have got an invitation from the Alpha of Silver Crest,” Andrew, my beta informed, and my features twisted into a frown. I had just gotten back from the annual hunting game that we engage the pack's warriors in, in order to keep them in good shape and also because it's a great team-building exercise.
I always had to be in attendance as the Alpha's son, but today, I took the lead as the head Alpha. It felt exhilarating, that was what I'd always aimed for, a title befitting me. Being at the top comes with respect and the power was everything I've ever wanted. To have everybody and everything at my feet, to have people at my beck and call, and to just be the symbol of such power.
