I felt time screech to a halt the moment those words left her lips. It took a full minute for my brain to actually process them and at that point, everything else ceased to exist as I stared at her with wide eyes. Did she just say yes? To be my mate and Luna!?
“P - P - Paige, is this real? Are you serious right now? You're not joking, o -or anything, right?" I stuttered out, not believing my ears, the sound of my heart beating loudly, so heavy in my ears as I thought of the probability of her laughing out loud at this very moment and saying it was some kind of mean joke. I prayed with everything in me that wouldn't be the case and that I wasn't hearing this wrong. She was finally saying yes to me. Saying everything I've been dying to hear for so long.
