Diana’s pov Phantom pain is when you lose a body part, but there is some kind of pain where it used to be. Something that isn’t there anymore shouldn’t hurt you, right? But it still does, it hurts as if it is still there. Usually, the normal period to experience this is a couple of months. But in severe cases, these pains can last forever. In my opinion, I think it depends on the person and also the body part they lost. If someone whose entire life revolves around using their right hand and they lose it. Accepting this could be harder, and they might never recover. For example, if I were an artist or a musician, the loss of my hand would scar me for a long time.
