CASSIAN'S POV
I stepped into the living room and stopped in my track.
Celina Marquette.
She was standing there like she belonged here, her chin was held high, the designer heels she wore clicking against the marble. Her eyes locked onto Anya, then dragged slowly over her body with that signature disgust she wore so well.
Anya looked stunned.
Then Celina opened her mouth.
“Are you the maid? I’m here to see my fiancé.”
Was she f*****g joking? It seem like i had become soft.
I walked further in, keeping my expression blank, though my jaw was clenched so tight it ached. My wolf growled Inside me and I felt the need to shed blood.
But I shouldn't do that, not in front of Anya.
“Anya,” I said calmly, “Go to your room.”
She hesitated, her eyebrows pulled together. I knew she wanted explaination, but I couldn't give her that.
I didn’t blame her, “Now,” I said, firmer.
Her eyes looked slightly hurt by my words, she gave me one more confused glance, then stood and walked out without a word. As soon as she was out of earshot.
I turned to Celina, and everything about me changed.
I'm sure Celina felt it too, my wolf wanted to shed blood.
Celina took two steps back, trying to mask her fear, but her hands trembled slightly beside her.
“You have a f*****g death wish, don’t you?” I said, voice low and deadly.
She took another step back, “Cassian—”
I closed the distance in a second and slammed my hand against the wall beside her head. She flinched, hard.
Then I grabbed her by the throat and pinned her on the wall, I held her tight enough to remind her what I could do.
“You barge into my estate. You speak to my little one like she’s beneath you. And you have the balls to call me your fiancé?”
She was shaking now, trying to hold her composure, but it was slipping.
“I didn’t know she was—”
“Don’t lie to me,” I snapped, eyes glowing faintly, the beast just under the surface. “You knew. You wanted to get a rise out of her. Out of me. But this? This was the dumbest move you’ve ever made.”
She swallowed hard, eyes wide.
“My wolf is bloodthirsty Celina, do want me to feed you to him?”
“P-p-please Cassian, you don't want to do this.” She said as she trembled under my hands.
Cough cough! She coughed when I tightened my grip on her neck.
“You have no idea what I want to do Celina.” I said, smirking.
I leaned in closer, baring just a hint of fang at the edge of my smile.
“You think you know who I am, Celina? You don’t. You’ve only ever seen what I let you see. But keep pushing me, and you’ll meet the part of me that doesn’t talk before it kills.”
Her breath hitched.
I stared at her a moment longer, just to let the silence choke her.
Then I stepped back, my voice ice-cold.
“Get out. Leave this estate and don’t come back until you remember what the hell I am and what you’re not.”
She turned and practically ran out.
I stood there, looking at her retreating figure. She was lucky I let her walk out. My wolf was on the edge these days, I needed to kill someone.
Next time, I wouldn’t be so generous.
I turned to in search of my little one, I didn't know how she would react.
I walked to her room, I knocked slightly, but no one answered. I opened the door and walked in, I saw her sitting on the edge of the bed, her cheeks stained with tears.
I rushed forward “are you okay? Are you hurt little one?”
She looked at up at me, “you did,” she said sniffing back a tear.
I smiled, “is my little one jealous?” I walked closer to the bed.
“It's not funny, who is she?” She asked, still looking at me.
“Don't worry about her, I've taken care of her.” I sat down close to her on the bed.
“She said she's your fiancee.” Anya said turning to face me.
“It was just business Anya, I saved her family when they were going under, Celika was given to me as collateral.” I looked at her, her tears had stopped and she was relaxing. How easily she believed me.
Such innocence doesn't belong to this world, but I was curious. She was like a drug I was addicted to, I just couldn't get enough no matter how much I took.
I pulled her and crashed my lips on hers, I was done denying the attraction I felt towards her and now I was curious about how every part of her body felt and tasted.
