Chapter 11

"The wedding would be push sooner than we expected." Malamig na wika ng kanyang ama.

"Hindi ako mag papakasal."

Arthur sighed in annoyance, Diane is really a pain in the ass. She doesn't excell in academics she doesn't even have a talent pariwara ang buhay nito para sa kanya, tye only thing that he could get to her is the wedding and the merge of two companies.

"It's not up to you to decide about that, ikakasal ka diyan if I have to lock you inside your room till the wedding happens I would."

Malungkot na laman na ngumiti si Diane, all she want is the love that her family could give but the end of the day she couldn't receive it.

"Hindi ikaw ang mag dedesisyon niyan, subukan mo akong ikulong I would kill myself If I have too. Mas malaking iskandalo iyon, the heiress of Lopez corp killed herself because of her own family? That would be a great headline."

"Diane Elizabeth!" Malakas na sigaw ni Arthur at napahawak sa sumakit na batok.

"What? Try me father. Ikakasal lang ako sa taong gusto ko at sa araw na gusto ko, and if you have problems with that then it's not my problem anymore."

Agad siyang tumayo at nag lakad palapit sa pinto ngunit sa pag bukas niya non ay ang kapatid niyang nakakatanda ang nakatayo doon.

"Diane," gulat pang wika nito. "H-how are you?"

Diane gave him a slight smile.

"I'm good," she said walking past through him. "I'll meet you some other time I have to go."

Hindi na niya hinintay pa ang sasabihin nito, she walk past him and leave the mansion agad siyang sumakay sa kanyang sasakyan at nag maneho paalis but someone won't open the huge gate infront of her.

"Open the damn gate!"

The two security guards look at each other, of course her father just won't let her leave in peace.

"Open the god-damned gate!"

Ngunit hindi siya pinansin nito, she scoffed and step out of the car. Nag lakad siya palapit sa dalawa na ngayon ay may kausap na sa telepono, she snatch the phone away from one of the guards and put it on her ear.

"Do not let her leave."

"You are really trying my patience." Malamig niyang tugon. "Fine, let's see about that."

Malakas na binato ni Diane ang hawak sa sahig then she walk towards her car, isunot niya ang seatbelt at inatrad ang sasakyan then she drive in high speed hitting the huge metal gate ngunit hindi iyon naging sapat upang mabuwal ang gate so she move her car backward and drive in high speed crashing the gate down.

"Watch me father!" Mariin niyang bulong habang nakangiti driving away from the mansion. "Watch me."

Sa condo niya ang kanyang diretsyo, her car is totally wreck gusto niyang maiyak dahil bagong gawa lang ang sasakyan niya. She would be a brat in everyone's eyes if she have too.

"My god!" She hissed and step out of the car. "Kung pinaalis na lang nila ako ng maayos?"

Pinindot niya pa talaga ang lock ng kotse ngunit dahil sa damage ay hindi na iyon ma lock she sighed and rolled her eyes. Nag lakad siya palapit sa entrance ngunit na pahinto siya ng harangin siya ni Cloud.

"What?" Bored niyang wika. "Umalis ka nga sa harap ko."

Clouds mouth hanged opened while looking at her car, hindi niya alam kung saang gyera nanaman galing ang babaeng kaharap.

"What happened to you? Are you hurt?"

Diane rolled her eyes tinabig niya ang kamay nito at nilagpasan ang binata.

"I'm still alive and not hurt." Though wala naman siyang maramdamang sakit.

"Your head is bleeding what do you mean you are not hurt?"

Agad na kinapa ni Diane ang kanyang noo ng maramdaman ang tumagas na likido doon it is indeed bleeding.

"Damn it!" She hissed and took her handkerchief insider her bag agad niyang pinunasan iyon. "Talagang nag tanong kapa kung nasaktan ako the fact that you are clearly seeing a blood on my head."

Aalis na sana siya ngunit agad na hinawakan ni Cloud ang kanyang kamay.

"What are you doing? Let go!"

Ngunit hindi ito nakinig at hinila siya muli palabas, he went to his car and open the door.

"Get in."

"No! Saan ba tayo pupunta? Alam mo Cloud gusto ko lang gawin ngayon ay matulog!"

Cloud sighed hinawakan nito ang kanyang ulo at pilit siyang pinapasok sa loob.

"I can't let you sleep in that condition, get in."

Hindi na lang siya nakipag talo pa, she sat there in silence while looking at Cloud. .

"Saan mo ba ako dadalhin?" Asik niya sa binata habang inaayos nito ang seatbelt.

"Hospital."

"Cloud I don't need—"

"Can't you just listen to me once?"

Annoyed Diane dix her seatbelt. Wala na din naman siyang choice, one of Cloud's personality that she knew the most? Is him being bossy but she is bossier.

"Go on, lead the way." Sarcastic niyang wika.

"And it's done, natahi ko na Yung sugat it was not that severe good thing your girlfriend knows how to wear her seatbelt properly."

"Ah, Ni w-we are not." Kinakabahang wika ni Cloud, Diane would go berserk hearing that. Ngunit ng lingunun niya ang dalaga ay mahimbing na itong natutulog.

"I'll leave you be then, you can occupy the room till Ms. Lopez woke up."

Cloud nods his head, nang makalabas ang doctor ay naupo siya sa tabi ni Diane he slowly caress her hair and smile.

"You are a troublemaker you know that right?"

Ngunit hindi naman makakasagot ang tulog, Diane slept like a baby that day and waking up in the middle of the night where she saw Cloud. Natutulog ito habang nakaupo sa silya katabi siya, it look so uncomfortable pero dahil sa masama ang ugali niya ay hindi siya naawa dito.

"Hoy," she said poking Cloud's cheek. "Ulap gumising ka dyan nagugutom ako."

Ngunit hindi ito magising na tila pagod na pagod ang binata, Diane sighed and watch Cloud sleep hindi naman niya maipag kakaila na gwapo ang binata he has this pointed nose a beautiful pair of gray eyes a disheveled hair that suits him well and his red plum natural lips Cloud is perfect in looks department. Hindi na niya namalayan ang unti unting pag taas ng kanyang kamay her finger slowly trace his face.

Diane felt something inside her, the feeling that she doesn't want to feel anymore the feeling that she buried inside her. No one could hurt her anymore, bato na ang puso niya ang Ex-fiancee at pamilya niya ang nag patigas sa kanya, she would no longer love anyone other than herself.

Selfish? No she had just learned her lesson, dahil kapag nag mahal ka ikaw ang talunan.

Ramdam ni Cloud ang sakit ng likod dahil sa kanyang naging pag tulog kagabi, he knew how uncomfortable it is but he can't just leave Diane, pakiramdam niya ay inaantok pa siya ngunit tila nawala ang kanyang antok ng makitang wala na si Diane sa kanyang higaan.

"Diane?"

But no one answered, dali dali niyang kinuh ang jacket at tumayo nag mamadali pa siyang lumabas sa silid at tumakbo sa nurse station.

"Have you seen the patient in room 209?"

But both of the nurse shook their head.

"The hell?! Aren't you supposed to monitor your patients? Para saan pa at binabayaran kayo!"

Hindi na niya hinintay pa ang sasabihin nito, he immediately head towards the ground floor and sighed in relief when he saw Diane nag lalakad ito habang kumakain ng turon.

"Diane!"

Agad na kumunot ang noo ng dalaga dahil sa kanyang naging pag tawag Diane walk towards her then she kick his knee making him gasped.

"W-what the hell is your problem?!"

"Yang bunganga mo ang problema, parang nasa mag kabilang bundok tayo kung makatawag ka."

Diane walk pass him, muli itong bumalik sa kanyang silid na parang walang nangyari patuloy kang nitong kinain ang turon na hawak habang nanunuod.

"Kuha mo nga ako ng tubig."

Cloud sighed, hindi na lang siya nag salita at kumuha ng tubig sa ref tapos ay lumapit siya kay Diane at inabot ito.

"Open it, paano ko maiinom yan?"

Malalim na bumuntong hininga si Cloud, he is just trying to control himself binuksan niya ang bottled water at inabot ito kay Diane. Pinag masdan niya lang ang dalaga na kumakain, as he was about to eat Diane speak.

"Paki tapon."

"Am I your God-damned maid or something?!"

Diane pout, hindi ito nag salita at bumaba sa kanyang kama.

"Kyaaaah! Put me down what are you doing?!"

Hindi sumagot si Cloud bagkus ay muli siya nitong nilapag sa kama then he snatch the plastic in her hand.

"Ako na, just rest."

Nang tumalikod si Cloud ay sumibol ang ngiti sa kanyang labi. Cloud just couldn't resist her.

"Itatapon din naman pala ang dami pang arte."

Rinig niya ang wikang iyon ng dalaga na hindi niya alam kung bulong ba talaga o sadyang pinarinig sa kanya. Hindi na lamang siya kumibo he just couldn't win against the great Diane Lopez.

"Puwede na ba ako lumabas? I can't stand hospitals."

Cloud hum, kumuha siya ng mansanas sa ref at sinimulan iyong balatan.

"Why? Scared of the hospital urban legends story?"

"No, I just couldn't stand hospitals after my grandmother died."

Napahinto si Cloud sa ginagawa ng mahinuha niya ang malungkot na tinig ng dalaga, Diane is smiling but that smile shows sadness.

"The only person who love me and will always believe in me no matter what."

"She's in good hands." Komento niya. "And I know she's proud of you."

"How do you know?"

Cloud smile, nag lakad ito palapit sa kanya then he gave her the apple.

"I just know, that is how grandparents are they will love you and stand by you no matter. Be proud of the little things you do forgive you for the things you have done everything, we are perfect in their eyes."

Diane sniff remembering her grandmother, how sweet she is and how much she loves her.

"Kumain kana, lalabas lang ako sandali para ayusin yung discharge mo. Do you want anything?"

Diane shook her head and smile but this time her smile is genuine.

"Thank you Cloud."

Cloud gasped ang kanyang kamay ay dumako sa kanyang bibig he just couldn't believe hearing those words from Diane.

"Parang kailangan mo pa ng matagal ma stay dito ah?"

Diane chuckled.

"No really thank you. You don't know how much those word of yours comforts me."

Tumango na lang si Cloud at nag paalam na lumabas, he walk straight to the cashier to settle Diane's bill then he went to her doctor.

"Is Mr Canyo here?" Tanong niya sa lalaking naka robe din.

"Sorry sir he left for a meeting."

Cloud nodded.

"I just want him to check my fiance before we leave just to make sure everything is fine."

"I could do that sir, I just need the patients name and I'll go check her up if that's okay with you."

Wala din naman siyang choice he just couldn't let Diane leave without knowing I'd everything is okay with her.

"Diane, Diane Elizabeth Lopez."

"Diane..."

Cloud frown in confusion tila mag iba ang timpla nito sa sinabi niyang pangalan.

"Is there a problem?"

"Ah no Sir, I'll just get my stuff and do the check ups."

Tumango na kang si Cloud at lumabas, He went straight to Diane's room.

"Bakit ang tagal mo? Gusto ko na umuwi."

"Wala kasi yung doctor na tumingin sayo kagabi."

"So what? I'm fine naman na! Can't we just go home?!"

Cloud sighed umiral nanaman ang kamalditahan nito free trial talaga ang ugali ng dalaga. He was about to speak when someone knock on the door and the doctor entered.

"Let's go—"

Agad na natigilan si Diane ng makita kung sino ang pumasok, her mood instantly change.

"What are you doing here?"

"Diane..."

Cloud is indeed confused on what is going on so he went straight to Diane's side mahigpit niyang hinawakan ang kamay nito dahil kita niya ang galit sa mga maya ng dalaga.

"I'm... I'm—"

"I want to go home Cloud."

Cloud sighed.

"Of course, let's go home babe."
