  Heat ran through my neck and my chest. My tongue felt thick. I didn't know what to say. I couldn't even think.   "I…" I managed, my voice breaking. "…I…"   He chuckled, a low, teasing sound. "Lost your voice, Bunny?" he said, stepping closer. I could feel the warmth of his breath, the scent of him… pine, steel, and something I couldn't name… brushing against my cheek.
