By the time I reached my chambers, my legs felt heavy and my whole body throbbed. Every step reminded me of the training ground….. it was a battle that I would have to continue by morning.

She stood near the table, arranging plates of food neatly, like she had been waiting for me. A soft smile crossed her face when she saw me.
"You're back," she said gently.
I nodded, suddenly tired in a way that went deeper than my bones. "I didn't know you'd be here."
"The Alpha asked that you be taken care of," she replied simply. "You needed to eat. And bathe."
