  KAELEN POV   The temperature in the room dropped.   Not slowly.   Instantly.   The herbs hanging from the ceiling trembled. The flames in the sconces flickered violently, then bent inward….toward the torn wall of visions.   My wolf surged forward inside me with a snarl.   I stepped in front of Orin without thinking, shoulders squared, every muscle tight. "Close it, now!" I ordered.   Ael didn't move.   His eyes were fixed on the swirling darkness inside the cracked veil. "Nothing can pass through," he said quietly.   The shadows inside the wall thickened.   The white-furred Aenarith vanished from the vision, replaced by something darker….taller. Leaner. A silhouette standing in smoke.   Two eyes opened.   Red.   Not glowing like embers.   Burning.   A slow, deliberate smil
