Chapter 5: First Kiss
In the blink of an eye, Ji Ai'er and Ji En had both entered middle school. Ji En was a whole head taller than her, and he began to bully her even more unrestrainedly. So she had gotten used to it. If one day he didn't bully her, she would actually feel that something was wrong with him.
Ji Ai'er always seemed like a cold doll with no emotional fluctuations. So, in order to stimulate her, Ji En often resorted to various means to bully her. Only in this way would Ji En feel that the person beside him was a living being, rather than a robot.
Ji En, who was wildly pursued in school, often received love letters and gifts. He always asked Ji Ai'er to receive the gifts and love letters for him because he found them annoying!
Every time Ji Ai'er helped Ji En receive gifts and love letters, she really wanted to tell those girls who secretly admired him not to be deceived by Ji En's appearance. He was a person with an angelic appearance but a devilish heart, a typical case of "good on the outside but bad on the inside". However, Ji Ai'er had the intention but not the courage, because she guessed that no one would believe her words. In the end, the one who would suffer would probably be her.
One day, as they were going downstairs after school, a seemingly gentle girl suddenly stuffed something into Ji En's hand. Ji Ai'er saw that Ji En frowned displeasedly.
"Ji En, another one of your admirers," Ji Ai'er whispered to Ji En.
"I like you!" The gentle girl seemed to have summoned up a lot of courage to confess. Her cheeks were flushed.
"What's your name?" Ji En leaned forward and asked.
"Lin Zilan." The gentle girl's voice sounded as faint as a mosquito's, but Ji Ai'er still heard it.
"Lin Zilan, right? I hope you understand that from now on, don't send me these useless things anymore," Ji En said to Lin Zilan without any pity. He stuffed what she gave him back into her hand. Anyway, no matter how many love letters he received, Ji Ai'er didn't seem to react, so he didn't want to bother with these girls who secretly admired him.
Ji Ai'er couldn't stand it anymore. Although she knew she shouldn't meddle, she just couldn't bear to see a weak girl being bullied by this devil, Ji En.
"Actually, what he means is that we should focus on our studies now and put romantic relationships aside first," she hurriedly explained on Ji En's behalf to avoid making Lin Zilan too embarrassed.
"Ji - Ai - er," Ji En was very unhappy. "Who asked you to be so meddlesome? Come here."
Ji Ai'er had no choice but to obediently walk over to Ji En. But before she could stand firm, she was suddenly pulled into his arms by Ji En. He actually bent down and kissed her, even thrusting his tongue into her mouth. She could clearly feel his breath. Ji Ai'er almost fainted.
Kissing Ji Ai'er felt quite good! Ji En thought after letting go of Ji Ai'er. Then he couldn't help but say smugly to Lin Zilan, "The person I like is her, so don't show up in front of me again." He even pointed at Ji Ai'er. Then he walked past the stunned Lin Zilan towards the school gate.
"I have nothing to do with him. He's just using me as a shield!" Finally, Ji Ai'er couldn't help but explain to the girl. What made her even more depressed was that her first kiss was gone just like that, and it was gone in such a situation. Damn it, Ji En. She also had a crush on someone. He would surely make it spread all over the campus tomorrow, and her miserable life would begin.
"If you have nothing to do with him, why would he kiss you?" Lin Zilan looked at Ji Ai'er resentfully. Ji Ai'er had nothing to say because who knew what was going on in Ji En's mind.
"Ji - Ai - er, don't you want to go home?" Ji Ai'er heard Ji En's cold voice that made her shiver. She quickly adjusted the positions of the two schoolbags and rushed forward.
"Give it to me!" Ji En said.
"What should I give you?" Ji Ai'er looked at his outstretched hand in confusion.
"Give me your schoolbags, i***t!" Ji En didn't expect Ji Ai'er to say such stupid things every time, so he had to reach out and take off the two bags on her shoulders and slung them over his own. Then he continued walking forward. The driver was already waiting at the gate.
And Ji Ai'er, seeing Ji En carry the schoolbag for the first time, finally understood why he could grow so tall while she was so petite. It was entirely because since childhood, she had been carrying his schoolbags for him, which had stunted her growth. Without such a burden, of course, he could grow so tall.
