They had been standing there in silence. For twenty years they had not seen each other; had not spoken each other, and now, waiting for the former Secretary of Army to show up, they didn’t have anything to tell to each other.
“It’s time,” Abe finally said, disappointed that Douglas Mackelvey didn’t show up.
“What’s next? Should we ask Rick to arrange a new meeting?” said Rudd Baldwin.
“I will ask Rick to check out why Mackelvey didn’t show up. I just don’t get it; he was eager to find you; we know he has seen the messages between you and his son and now he passes by this moment, probably the best opportunity he had to get you.”
“Maybe someone informed him? Someone may have told him Shaun isn’t here. Or… someone may have told him the truth; that his son is dead.”
