Back to the future

When they got to the village, Umami carried the cat to the center of the village.

He placed the scimitar cat beneath La. Leap had already been lead to Ohmes tent.

"I heard you wanted to travel but couldn't. I think La can help with that", Ohme said as soon as Leap entered his tent.

"La, the rock.. you think the rock can help me?", Leap ask unconvinced.

Ohme accompanied him to the rock, the cat was lying down in front of it. Umami was happy to see Ohme. He tried showing him the cat, but he was focused on explaining to Leap what to do.

Umami walked away.

After Ohme explained to him what to do, Leap placed his hands on the rock. He could feel the power in the rock, he then focused like he was told and siphoned the power he was feeling into him.

He could felt the power flowing inside him. He was surprised but he knew why the villagers had powers.

He went to Umami and Ulnas hut, he told them he was ready to go home. He asked Umami if he would like to go. Ulnas eye grew bigger when Leap asked Umami.

Umami got up from the straw bed, he looked at leap and agreed to go. When he turned to look at his sister, she shook her head.

She quickly pulled Leap out of the hut.

They went out to talk in private. Using sign language they communicated. It had been months and Lead now understood her sign language.

"I wasn't okay with you leaving, but you said you have to please don't take my brother away from me.", Ulna signed

" I am not taking him away from you, I'm just giving him options. He feels useless here, he could be useful in the future.", Leap signed.

" He is the only family I've got, he is important to me", Ulna signed

" Don't worry I'll take care of him", Leap signed and held Ulna by the hands. Tears filled her eyes and started to roll down her cheeks.

Leap hugged her and rubbed her back.

When she was alright, Leap was leaving when she grabbed him by the hand and kissed him on the lips.

When Leap got there, Umami was already packed. He had put all he could into a sack bag makes of animal hide.

"You won't need that, where we a going is warm", Leap said to Umami and took the bag off his shoulder and tossed it on the bed.

Leap wrapped his arm around Umami, Ulna walked in crying. Umami waved at her.

She wiped the tears off her face and waved back with a smile.

Then they disappeared before her eyes. She fell on he knees and the tears continued to roll down her cheeks.
