MARK'S POV For the millionth time that evening, I paced around my room, unable to keep calm. The academy had gone on a short break and I couldn't have been more glad. Now that I was home, it felt like the worst thing to happen to me. I was burning with curiosity. How was Samien? What was happening to her now that she's been expelled from the academy. Gosh! This was hard. Harder than anyone would have ever thought. I sank heavily into the couch behind me, sighing hard. If only I could hear her voice to know how she's faring. The door creaked just then. My brother walked in, his face burning with mockery. An even louder hiss trailed through my lips. “What's wrong?” “None of your business,” I snapped in annoyance. He chuckled as he drew closer to me, a sinister laugh on his face.
