MARK'S POV I didn't like the sound of this. Anger rose in me, hands tightened into fists. There's no way I'd allow them to do this to Roberts. Absolutely no way. My voice rang in the air as I spoke to the council, but nothing changed their mind. Roberts stood behind me, tears in her eyes. Vesperus wore a malicious grin, giggling. The audacity she had.
