Alpha Nathan’s POV
“How is she?” I asked again, and the healers sighed with relief.
“We were able to neutralize the poison, and she is going to be fine. She just needs a few days to recover,” one of the healers said, and I nodded as a wave of relief washed over me. I glanced at Lisa, whose eyes were still shut, and I became worried.
“Why is she not conscious yet?” I asked worriedly.
“She will be out soon. You don’t have to worry, Alpha.”
I nodded at the healer’s reassurance, but my chest still felt tight. Watching Lisa lie so still on the bed, pale and fragile, twisted something deep inside me. She looked so pale, so vulnerable.
