Alpha Nathan’s POV “How is she?” I asked again, and the healers sighed with relief. “We were able to neutralize the poison, and she is going to be fine. She just needs a few days to recover,” one of the healers said, and I nodded as a wave of relief washed over me. I glanced at Lisa, whose eyes were still shut, and I became worried. “Why is she not conscious yet?” I asked worriedly. “She will be out soon. You don’t have to worry, Alpha.” I nodded at the healer’s reassurance, but my chest still felt tight. Watching Lisa lie so still on the bed, pale and fragile, twisted something deep inside me.
