Lisa's POV
I noticed the door to my room being pushed open and then closed.
“Leave. I want to be alone,” I said rudely to whoever had walked in.
For the past few hours, my back had been facing the door as I cried against the wall. I wasn’t able to come to terms with the fact that I had lost my innocent child—a child that had done nothing wrong. Life was gone, just like that. The healer had comforted me, telling me I was still very young, that I could get pregnant again in a few months. She was ridiculous. Who told her I wanted to get pregnant again?! I wanted this child back.
