Alpha Nathan’s POV
“Cain… Is it you?” My voice trembled with disbelief, the words barely escaping my lips. The man standing before me—the friend I trusted with my life—couldn’t possibly be the one orchestrating all this chaos.
Cain took a slow step toward me, his eyes glinting with hatred and something far darker. He chuckled softly, his lips curling into a mocking smirk. “What’s the matter, Alpha King? Surprised? Disappointed? You didn’t see this coming, did you?”
My eyes widened more. Cain chuckled and shook his head. “You are foolish, Nathan. I thought you were wise, but you are indeed foolish. How could you trust me so blindly?” he said with a victorious smirk, while I remained mute.
I was dumbfounded that Cain was behind all this; he was behind Lisa’s k********g and now this setup
