“No! I’m not leaving!” Lisa shouted at the top of her voice.
I swallowed the lump in my throat. My heart was tearing apart, but I had to put on a Stoic expression.
“It’s for your own good, Lisa,” I said, and suddenly, a slap landed on my face. Lisa slapped me.
I massaged my jaw and held her gaze. Anger and pain filled her eyes.
“You beast!” she spat in my face. “After having your way with me, you decided to toss me to him to have a taste of me too!” she yelled at the top of her voice, and my heart ached. She was mistaking the whole situation, but I didn’t need to explain to her. Instead, I decided to act.
