Nathan sat in the back of the sedan, staring at his phone. The decision had crystallized in his mind during the drive from Victoria's office. He needed documentation—proof of everything the Nashvilles had done. Employment records for Sera, the original debt agreement, anything that showed the three years of servitude. Victoria needed it. Detective Shaw needed it. And Nathan needed it to finally, definitively close this chapter of his life. There was only one place to get it: directly from the Nashvilles themselves. "Change of plans," Nathan said to the driver. "Take me to the Nashville estate." The driver's eyes flickered to the rearview mirror. "Sir, are you sure that's wise? After this morning—" "I'm sure. I'm not going there to cause trouble. I just need to collect some documents."
