Amaya's POV: I stared at Cheryl, then looked back at Martin, then his friend whose name I still didn't know. Cheryl, my only friend, had just called my ex-boyfriend her fiancé, and she expected me to be completely cool with that. “Excuse me,” I whispered, then walked out after struggling with the door under their intense stares. I let out the air that had been trapped in my lungs for way too long before I clung to the wall because I couldn't support my body. Everywhere was blurry and even the sounds around me became background noises as I tried to process what I just heard. Cheryl knew well enough what Martin had done to me and we had both insulted him nonstop.
