“Have you seen Nicolas ever since that day?” Claire asked me before subtly giving Ruby a hypocritical stare.
I knew what this was about and I hated the fact that I had given them a topic to pounce on. It was all thanks to that b***h who had left a few days after disgracing me.
The fingers gripping my cup tightened as I tried to keep my anger at bay. I knew that the reason that they had invited me to their tea party was because they wanted to mock me publicly.
