Maya's POV:
“Or do you want it?” he asked me when he noticed my eyes on him, and I shook my head.
A glare from him made the hand on my shoulder drop, and I soon heard the person scurry away, which made me smirk.
I didn't like how I was feeling about this because it was nothing but alcohol. However, something in me didn't want to stop, and maybe it was because I wanted to feel free today after being suffocated by both my family and my ex.
“So what's your name, handsome?” I asked a question that would have made the sober me strangle myself.
“I'm not interested,” he gave me a short reply without sparing me a glance.
Such rejection would have made me feel ashamed and back down, but here I was, smiling like a fool as I studied his features.
He had eyes that were as dark as the abyss and his hair? They were darker and silky to the extent that I was tempted to run my hands through the relatively long length right now.
“I'm not a w***e,” I said to him in case I gave that impression.
“Wasn't judging,” he answered in a disinterested tone that pulled me in.
“Good. You don’t look like you could afford me if I were one.”
That was a lie because he looked wealthy and even smelt expensive with a bit of earthy scent that seemed out of place.
His head turned at that, and it was slow and deliberate. When his eyes locked on mine, the air in my chest stilled and the music playing blurred into background noise.
“Careful,” he murmured in a low tone that could barely hear. “I don’t take insults too well.”
My laugh came out shaky before I drank a bit of my alcohol to calm my nerves and then said, “Neither do I.”
He looked away from me after my statement, making my face fall, which left me surprised because that was an unconscious emotion that I had not expected.
I almost made an attempt to have his attention on me again but I didn't need to because he turned to me on his own.
"If you were to put a price, how much would it be?" he said with a smile that he was trying to hide so hard playing on his lips as he studied me.
I didn't know if I should feel insulted or just take it as a joke, but since I didn't want to seem like a Karen, I titled my head further before giving him a seductive look that made him raise his brow.
The interest that lit up his dark eyes for a split second made me smile because it seemed like I was getting somewhere with him.
"Priceless," I said, but felt like I just killed the whole mood with the stupid reply.
The chuckle he let out said otherwise as he shook his head but still managed to have his eyes on me while the finger that was playing with the rim of his tumbler was now on his lips... the lips I wanted so badly on mine and the fingers I wanted inside-
Maya!
I couldn't decipher if it was this man that was making me feel this way, or it was just my hormones.
"Well, luckily for you, I like my women priceless and…reckless," he says before bringing the fingers I've been studying so much down to the table and drumming on it.
Have I won?
Even if I had won indeed, it didn't matter because I wasn't planning on sleeping around…right?
“Do you stay around?” I asked him with a straight face even though I was beating myself up internally.
I've never tried having a one-night stand, nor have I ever flirted with a man because I found it too cringe so I couldn't be blamed for coming with full force.
“No,” he said, and my face fell instantly.
“I don't live around here, but I have a suite in the hotel just across this place,” he replied with a smile before adjusting his expensive wristwatch.
“Well…” I started but trailed off because I didn't know what to say next.
I was surprised when he stood on his feet and concluded that he was done playing around, but he soon proved otherwise when he stretched his hand towards me.
I didn't spend too much time looking at it before I grabbed it and almost let out a gasp when I felt a subtle spark flow through that arm.
“A second please,” he said just before he cleared our bills.
The act made me smile because he was a gentleman to the extent of not splitting the bill or something even though this wasn't a date.
“Let's go,” he said with the same smile he has offered me quite a lot tonight.
Staring down at our entwined hands, I wasn't sure if falling into the category of women who sleep around once their heart has been broken was better than those who put themselves in eternal hell by getting married to a stranger.
…
You can have your seat,” he said before disappearing to only God knows where.
Have my seat? Wasn't I supposed to follow him into the bedroom?
I didn't ask any of the questions in my mind and simply took my seat like he had instructed and studied the suite. It seemed like a place that was befitting of someone like him, but it didn't suit his vibe which wasn't a surprise since this wasn't his house.
“Take,” I heard his voice just before his feet appeared under my vie and when I looked up, he had a cup stretched towards me.
I stared at the mug with the inscription 'best brother' for a while because I couldn't see the content and the last thing I wanted was to end up in the hands of a creep since it was going to take a lot of energy to kill him, which I didn't have tonight.
“Thank you,” I said to him then sniffed discreetly, or I thought it was discreet until he raised a brow with a look of amusement.
Clearing my throat due to the slight embarrasment that came with being caught, I took a sip from the cup and the taste of honey diluted with water spread on my tongue. There was a type of relaxing feeling that came with it especially after downing that amount of alcohol so it made me let out a sigh as the tension that was in my bones, which I didn't even notice before, seeped out.
“A second,” he said with the same voice that attracted me to him when he first spoke earlier tonight before leaving me all alone again.
“Okay,” I said, but it came out in a low, nervous voice that I never expected.
After a bit of shuffling behind me, a familiar classical music that suddenly started playing made me jump a bit in my seat because I had not been expecting it. The low chuckle the stranger let out made me blush before I glanced over to glare at him.
“Do you know this?” he said before standing tall in front of me once more and bobbed his head to the classical.
“I…it sounds familiar,” I told him, hoping he didn't think I was lying just to impress him.
He didn't seem to think about it like that because it looked like he was really carried away with the music.
“It's called Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, which means a little night music,” he explained to me like the knowledge was going to add value to my life, but I still appreciated it.
“It starts with a G major,” he explained before standing in front of me with his hand stretched out.
There was something that suddenly seemed off about his personality when we were in the club because the person I was staring at right now seemed different…like the real him.
Did he want me to dance with him? This was meant to be a fling, though. I pushed away that thought and focused on the moment by grabbing his hand.
I almost let out a sigh of happiness when I caught a whiff of his perfume while dancing with him, then failed to keep it the second time when he placed a hand on my cheeks.
I looked up at him and felt my breath get caught in my throat at the hungry look in his eyes, which my eyes definitely match. All I could think about as we both maintained eye contact was him inside me.
“It hits a C major here,” he said in a whisper before he brought his face down and gave me what he had been depriving me since we arrived.
I melted into his hands and deepened the kiss with a moan as I grabbed onto his shirt just to stay steady. If my present messy state wasn't enough to show what I wanted, the bulge I felt down there was enough to encourage me to show him what exactly I needed.
“Come here, baby girl,” he said, breaking the kiss to carry me to where I knew it was all going to get down even though my instincts were screaming at me to run.
The next moments blurred into fire when we stepped into the bedroom, and unlike how sweet and gentle he was when we first walked in, he was the opposite now.
I wasn't complaining, though, as my shaky hands found their way to his belt while he placed kisses on my neck and also stripped me.
"Come," he said just before he pushed my hands from his now unbuckled belt, then pushed me against the wall.
He kissed his way down to my chest and then proceeded to unhook my bra within minutes while I was moaning into his ears and grabbing onto whatever I could find.
His lips found themselves on my boobs and that was all it took for me to sput out words that had absolutely no meaning as I writhed against him.
"Please," I pleaded for nothing in particular as my hands found their way to the bulge and brought out his d**k. The stranger paused for a second and let out a shaky breath before he lifted me.
In less than a minute, I was splayed on the bed with him over me with a look that reminded me of a predator, and I was more than happy to be his prey.
One of his hands was on my boobs while the other trailed up from my thigh, which made me shiver in excitement as I waited for him to be exactly where I wanted him. I was really enjoying every second that passed, but I wanted the most now was his d**k in mine.
"Please," I begged him just before I stretched out my hand to grab his d**k that had an impressive length just as the width. I let my hands trace the veins on them just as his fingers found my c**t.
Everything from that moment became a blur... quite literally because I couldn't think. Just when I thought that would be the most that could happen, I was taken to another level entirely when he finally entered my wet p***y.
I had no idea about when we finally stopped, but I knew that at some point my voice broke into a cry that wasn't his name - because I didn't know it - and the next minute, I collapsed with my frantic heartbeat.
There was something about the moment he came as if something had slipped. I couldn't place a finger at it at first, but then I remembered and recognised that hum, which was what I used to single out a specific creature. My body went rigid when i realised but still denied it for a while.
I knew denial was useless because only werewolves had that sort of aura around them. I felt my body go cold at the realisation that I had just given my body to one.
My whole body tensed at the discovery, but I couldn't find it in me to shove him away and grab a blade when I felt his lips brush against my temple as my consciousness slipped away. Tomorrow, I'd deal with the fact that the enemy was sleeping naked beside me.
